I really enjoy season one of nameless but this book was confusing. I thought it was a futuristic story but it wasn’t. I found too many characters in this story but not enough time to explain their importance to the story. I still have more questions than answers.

A Pretty Good Novella Length Story

This is a decent story that seems fairly typical of the style of Dean Koontz novels that I have thus far read. His stories are highly readable, using modern American conversational English. There is a certain amount of slang. The stories often have, as this story does, a dark aspect to them. Some characters seem simply evil.

This particular story has a dystopian feel to it which revolves around an unnamed city. There is little character development, which may be unavoidable in a short work. One is left to wonder about a lot of the background story.

I liked this story and am glad that I read it. I did not necessarily like it enough to continue with the series. I do have some regular length Dean Koontz novels that I intend to read. Thank You…

This is the first book of season two of Nameless. I loved the first season, the premise is fascinating and the stories are taut thrillers. I'm glad there is a season two, but this would be a fantastic novel.

This book is a bit different from the first series. A good portion of it is spent underground and Nameless has a partner, a young boy. This is a longer story than the others and a great deal of time is spent on ruminations about society. I did love the ending, just deserts for both of the villains. The outcome was particularly interesting, since it was the one thing the protagonist never expected. Narration by Eduardo Ballerini is fantastic as usual. On to book two.
