Book reviews are difficult. One person's excellent is another's <Gag!>
Given that, here goes -
This is a rating of the entire "Broken Doll" series, not just this book.
The concept is terrific. It has been "sort of" done before (e.g. Sci-fi "Ender's Game" et al, but Deaver pulled it off masterfully here. Each story stands alone, but they blend perfectly - similar stories from different sides. My only complaint - and here's the point of the first line in this review - is I'm not much into "visualize your own ending". It's pretty obvious, but I like things spelled out a little more clearly. If you're into subtlety, give this rating its fifth star and give me the raspberry.

Bottom line - Would I read the series knowing it ended this way? Absolutely YES! I could have read it for free but I spent almost $4 ( Wow! :-) ) to own it. If you're not sure, at least try this volume.

Expected more from Jeffrey Deaver. Not great. For a short story, it was boring, and expected one or two twists. The twists were bland, to say the least. Kind of disappointed in wasting 2 dollars.

Meanwhile, the trial of Steven Ross is taking place. Ross is charged with being a participant in the murder.
