Tears, Laughs, and Friendship

I am giving this movie 5 stars because it is well acted and has a story line that most people over 55 could relate to. I would say it is more a woman's film but Danny Aiello who plays the part of a retired cop who lost his wife is a good representative for the male viewer to also enjoy the this film. I have watched this movie countless times over the past few years. I recommend this movie to anyone who I feel would like to spend a few hours with people who are learning to cope with the unexpected change to their life. There are tears, laughs but through it all friendships that help them move forward and look forward to the new journey. You may also appreciate some of the background music that is in a few scenes. Is this movie somewhat old fashioned yes but in a rather contemporary way and that for me makes it a movie I would and do recommend to my neighbors who are over 55.

I happened to catch this movie a few years ago. I loved it. The actors are amazing to say the least. It’s one of those movies that probably didn’t get a lot of attention when it first came out and that’s a shame. It’s really good. It proves you can find love at any age and also get your heart broken and it feels the same as when you were a teenager. At my age it truly hits home.

I don't know why I'm fascinated with movies about older people starting over. Oh, right. Because I'm older and one of these days I might find myself in their shoes. "The Cemetery Club" isn't art, but it's warm and funny and likable. I'll take that!

I watched this movie based solely on the cast, I'd watch them just sitting on a bench. The writers created a story that addressed a very painful topic that encourages the audience a rare journey inside the characters lives. I laughed, ached, cried and learned some life lessons that will me my entire life.
