I wish they hadn't changed it...

I want to start off by saying my kids (3 and 5) ADORE Dino Dana (and Dino Dan!) and we watched the Dino Dana movie the day it was released. They liked it okay, but were scared of the dinosaurs. I do not like how the dinosaurs are attacking the kids all of a sudden. In the show, the dinos are friendly and don't generally go after Dana (unless she's a dino herself at that moment), so why are they after her and the other children in the movie?
Now, there are definitely cute moments and the message about family is great- I'm just so sad that they've changed the dinosaurs behavior all of a sudden. Part of what I love about the Dino Dana show is that kids can enjoy dinosaurs without fear. We will still watch the previous seasons, but I'm not sure if we'll watch the movie again.

My son started with dino Dan when he was like 2, he graduated to dino dana and has always loved the show. He's 5 now and we still watch it. I watched this movie with him and I have to say A+ on every front. They have come a long way with their production value as well as their story composition. There wasn't a moment where I as the supervising adult got bored with this movie. It gets emotional at times too which is great. They approach every situation with extreme care but also seem to capture the child like wonder of dinosaurs. My son, and admittedly I too, has learned a tremendous amount of dino knowledge. From names to traits and habits. The characters are so close to real life it makes it relatable. It's amazing to see how these kids have grown right along side my own. Dino Dan and trek make a cameo and they are straight up grown men now. So if you started your kids with dino Dan and you watch this movie you might feel a little old. Lol

Positive messages, great for dino lovers

My girls, 6 and 8 love Dino Dana and enjoyed this movie. I liked the positive messages about blended families, looking out for each other, and using science to expand our understanding of the world. Great movie even for younger kids.

Good movie, annoying at parts, good for 7-10 year old dino lovers, audio was horrid

We cast this and the audio was horrible. The movie was pretty good and had a nice message. We loved Dino Dan and though we love dinosaurs this wasn't as good in a way. I agree with another review that this may not be great for little kids.

My 7 year old is a huge fan. This was a year study that delves into the magic of science (& Dana's dino field guide).

We love Dino Dana. We were super happy to see a movie come out! My 2 year old has watched it probably 100 times since he keeps it on replay 😂. We absolutely adore Dana and her family and can’t wait for more to be made
