So all movies have a beginning a middle and an end. The middle should be the climax or the point of the movie where it Peaks. This movie however is a steady flow of nothingness. You think is it ever going to get to be the point and it never really does. The last 10 minutes of the movie or probably the most interesting. I should have waited till it was free. The only reason this got a star was because it's got some interesting creatures in it rather than that don't expect too much the story line is kind of messy. And it really doesn't progress to go anywhere. Also it's one of those movies where the trailer is way more interesting than the actual movie

Wow! I really wanted to like this movie. Unfortunately it was very boring! It’s trippy; the actors are all stiff, completely incapable of showcasing emotions; and there aren’t any scary moments. Not worth money to watch this. At least the popcorn was delicious.

Wish this film would have doubled down on the Creatures, which really made this movie come to life. A decent movie in an era of disappointing low budget snoozers.

A little Imagination and decent effects go a long way!

The main character (the little girl's dad) did not strike me as a likable person. The mom was also not a likable person. The little girl and the baby-sitter were the only likable characters in the movie and really it just wasn't enough to keep my interest. The ghost-doll things were creepy and that's the only part of the movie that was done well. If you're going to go for a scary movie, make sure the main characters are actually likable people that the audience will come to care about and won't actually want to see injured. No one cares if a crappy dead-beat-dad who can't even cook an omelet for his daughter gets eaten by a ghost or not.

This movie takes everything that scares you to death from other movies and puts it into one.
I never cared about the story of this movie and I awaited its release for a long time.
My friend who I forced to watch it with me started to cry at the title LOL!
Its that scary. Although maybe people dismiss it for the story I was never going to
watch it for plot. Its about scaring someone to death that you know is scared of things
in the closet, under the bed, in the attic, the boogey man etc...

If you want someone for a sleepover or to scare your friend choose this.
Absolute masterpiece of fear thrown together from the history of all movies
about the boogey man. I will watch it over and over in the future just to scare
my friends. That's what this is really about!

After seeing the previews, I thought this was going to be a similar film to Sinister.

It's literally a drama. . .
You get the dysfunctional family theme where mom dies, dad ends up with the little girl, little girl takes on the static role of seeing dead mom, unemployement, insert random stuff about puppets and comics, more arguments, angry father in-law, more arguements, child custody, sad life stories, more sad boring life stories, more arguements, crazy stalker girlfriend, betrayal, shitty anticlimactic death, and the classic life lesson about 'how to be good parents'
I wasted my time and my money.

If you want true horror, don't get played by this movie.

It had a few jump scares. If you don't pay attention you might get lost on what is happening in the movie. The ending you don't quite see coming.

I watched the trailer of this movie and thought it looked like a good scary movie so when it finally came to Prime I rented it . The first 20 minutes were descent but it slowly declined . It's kind of reminiscent to Mama . It was an ok movie but not worth a rental purchase . Worth a watch if you are bored and it's free lol
