Nothing New

Some of the positive reviews have the same language. I guess people associated with the film drove up the ratings. One person said it was worth watching twice. It is not worth watching once. How does a guy driving on the Freeway all of a sudden drive into a tree? This movie has been done several times. It is just a variation on a theme, nothing new.

Yet another movie reviewed by friends, family, and investors

Why do I even read reviews anymore? Better acting and production on 80s soap operas.

Not worth the time.

A promise of a thrilling movie. It wasn't. Lead character was just plain annoying, but all the girls were gaga over him. Really!! The movie was slow. The acting was substandard. The plot never lived up to anything. Definitely not worth the time.

Weird. Not for 13 yr olds either

18-20 yr olds portraying tween actions/reactions. Sheer stupidity. Adult themes/subject matter reduced to drivel and rated as entertainment for children. Spare your tweens the potential stunted development and find something worthy of space in their growth window, it is prime acreage.

Assumptions are....killers

We had the plot figured out right away-totally knew what was going to happen. We settled in to watch beautiful familiar scenes, great actors, and listen to the amazing soundtrack. Then, a twist--we had to reevaluate our thought of the plot line. And another change. Maybe we disnt know what was happening. Wait?! Did you hear that??
It was so exciting!

Mediocre at best

Wisconsin resident here. The movie caught my eye and I got excited thinking I was going to see some of our beautiful WI scenery. We giggled at how they butchered the name of "Wausau" (where Blake's cabin was supposed to be located) and the other cliche's that were introduced (the redneck Welcome center guy; the blizzard-like road conditions, talking about "Dairy Farms"). I try and give all movies the benefit of the doubt, but I am unable to see why this movie is consistently scoring (on Amazon) 4.8/5 stars. The acting was almost painful to watch. "Mia" was the most natural, but the actor who played "Ella" was making me want to stop the movie. Her dialogue was whiny, she wasn't connected to any of the other characters and overall, just annoying. The plot twist in the end salvaged it a bit, so I generously gave it 2 stars. Frankly, I wasted money tonight on this rental. Not worth it.

As an avid movie fan the best thing I can ever say about a movie is it's worth watching twice and this one definitely is!

A killer score, fantastic cinematography, suspense, drama and a nice twist

Do yourself a favor and watch this movie!

Watch it for the psychology of it.

A decent, somewhat understated film without any great effects or action pieces, however, I think it held up well psychologically with a surprise ending -- more of a surprise because both the characters and viewers overthought things. The pace was slow but relentless as the whole truth unfolded. In the end, I really did enjoy the film but would not need to see it twice as I think the movie will stick in my memory as a choicce cinematic example of what "truth" may be.
