Blog postI’m delighted to share with my readers that the Kindle version of Here in Hart’s Crossing, which includes all four Hart’s Crossing novellas, is on sale for 99¢ today and Monday. The price will inch up over the course of the week until it is back to its full price.
In the charming town of Hart’s Crossing, neighbors still care about neighbors and visitors are offered a respite from fast-paced living as they observe the antics of its lovable residents.

Blog postI didn’t blog on a regular basis in 2020. Plenty of good intentions but not enough follow through. But I’ve enjoyed writing a year end reflection post for several years and didn’t want to miss writing one for 2020.
My word for 2020 Revelation (Ephesians 1:17)
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.”
2020 was definitely a year when I needed the spirit of wisdom and for God3 weeks ago Read more -
Blog postIf you’re anything like me, your Christmas will look different this year. Normally, I get to gather with extended family on Christmas Eve and then go see a much anticipated movie on Christmas morning. But this year, while continuing to be cautious in a location where the spread of COVID has been bad, I’m focusing on all the blessings in my life, and remembering that it is CHRIST who I’m celebrating. His birth particularly. But also His life, His death, and His resurrection.

Blog postWinter arrived in Idaho after a lovely and long Indian summer. We’ve had below-freezing temps in late November and early December. We’ve also had a couple of snowy days, though nothing has lingered yet. How’s the weather where you are?
This December, as most Decembers, I’m working on a new book. For me, cold weather means sitting down with a warm beverage, a fire blazing in the fireplace (when I’m in the living room instead of my office), and writing.
And of course, when not w2 months ago Read more -
Blog postEarly in the writing process of a new book, I am required to turn in a form to my publisher with lots of different information about the work in progress. Included in this information are suggestions for the cover such as significant locations, items that play an important role, etc.
The problem for me, as a seat-of-the-pants writer, is that my story can change a lot as I write the book. That certainly was the case for my July 2021 release, Make You Feel My Love. For one thing, I beli2 months ago Read more -

Blog postI’m so excited. My publisher recently corrected an omission for two of my series. Back when the third novels of each series were first released, audiobook versions weren’t made. As of this week, that’s no longer true.
Audio versions of Beloved (Book #3 in the Where the Heart Lives series) and Keeper of the Stars (Book #3 in the Kings Meadow Romance series) are now available for digital download, making each series complete. And I couldn’t be happier about it.

Blog postAbout a week ago, I heard about the Illuminated Scripture Journals from Crossway. These books have the Scripture on the left hand page (ESV) and lightly dotted blank pages on the right, perfect for writing or drawing or however you best interact with Scripture. (There are also the same journals with plain black covers where the right hand pages are lined.)
The Illuminated Scripture Journals have beautiful covers, and each cover represents something within the book itself. Inside, the5 months ago Read more -
Blog postSome years ago, I attended a college graduation ceremony (remember when they had those in a normal fashion?), and while sitting in the bleachers, I had an epiphany. I’d always said I was going to get a college degree (something I didn’t do at the usual age) “when I had the time.” And sitting in those bleachers I realized, as with anything else, I would never have the time. If this was something I wanted to do, I needed to just do it.
