About Gretchen Rodriguez
Gretchen Rodriguez is an author, dancer, and heaven releaser. She and her husband entered full-time ministry in 1999, when they were ordained as pastors. After serving as missionaries in Puerto Rico for nine years, they moved to California with their three daughters.
She has been a ballet teacher for over twenty-six years.
Her articles have been seen on the websites of Charisma Magazine, The Christian Post, and Identity Network. She is the author of both devotionals and Christian fiction (coming soon).
Here's a bit more about her, from her website: "I believe it's important to share the secrets we've dug through the dung for. To allow people into our journey. To be real. To pull up our sleeves and tell the stories of our scars. To live free from the poison of judging people. To extend grace and mercy. To laugh. To work. To rest. To not only know and love ourselves, but to encounter the One who declares that our ugly, messy tears of surrender have made us beautiful. (see Song of Solomon 8:5)"

Blog postEveryone's journey with the Lord looks different. For me, the view has consistently changed. From sandy beaches to deserts, and then landing in what I call the land of Bethel (AKA Redding, CA), where I thought we would remain. Eight and a half years later, God asked us to move again.
I'll spare you the details of my struggle to accept the invitation. But with all three of our daughters and our only granddaughter living in Redding, I needed very clear discernment of what God was saying2 months ago Read more -
Blog postNow the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt (Exodus 12:13).
Today begins the Jewish celebration of Passover when we remember the mercy of God, as He passed over the homes of His children that were marked by the blood of the lamb.
It was the blood that saved them, and it is the blood of the Lamb that saves us today.

Blog postTwo weeks before the pandemic broke out, the Lord gave me a vision. I saw myself on my knees, hands lifted in worship. The longer I stayed there, the smaller I became. I was sinking, further and further down, becoming invisible. As I disappeared, a soft white light rose from me. It grew and grew until I was gone and all that remained was magnificent light.
At first, I thought this was an acknowledgment or confirmation that God saw my surrender and was pleased. Perhaps, He was encourag1 year ago Read more -
Blog post"Holy intimacy." Those were the words I heard over and over when I asked the Lord what was on the horizon for 2020. Here is what I sense has already begun and will continue throughout this year and beyond:
There was a somewhat familiar feeling that reminded me of the Pensacola Outpouring of the 90s; sovereign, holy, reverent. This will be an authentic, divine awakening of the heart. This revival of holy intimacy may begin in churches, but it will only serve a greater purpose1 year ago Read more -
Blog postThe Lord prompted me to share a bit of my current personal journey. I said no at first. "There are others in more serious situations, Lord." What? Really? I'm going to COMPARE? I know better. So, on to sharing.
This past week was a whirlwind. I re-injured my back and was having trouble moving. Our daughter had an emergency C-Section, and we became first-time grandparents! Then I got the stomach flu and couldn't leave the house for two days. Then, our daughter was rushed back1 year ago Read more -

Blog postLife is filled with ups and down, and keeping our focus on the Lord is the only thing that gets us through. Recently, He spoke to my heart that many are on the verge of a significant, life-changing breakthrough! And it's coming out of some of our deepest pain. The areas of trauma, disappointment, disillusionment, and fear that continually rear their heads, are the areas we are about to have tremendous breakthrough.

Blog postWe've all seen them—people who look like they've had a hard life. Pain and disappointment weigh so heavily upon them that they've become hated friends that never leave. Weary ones dragging their feet; their rough edges cutting through the atmosphere, announcing to the world that life has dealt them a bad hand.
Then there are the others. The ones who have also felt the pain and disappointment that tried to shackle their souls, but instead they embraced grace. Though they may walk with3 years ago Read more -

Blog postSoundless prayers are often our most powerful ones. Voiceless utterances where we connect spirit to spirit with the Lord become some of our deepest encounters. Maybe it's because all of us is poured out before the greatness of all of Him. We're completely open. Raw. There's no pretense or desire to impress Him with our eloquent words or lists of memorized scripture. We simply exist. Fully yielded to the One who already knows.

Blog postWe all go through seasons when it feels as if our backs are against the wall. Circumstances around us scream in our face and demand our attention, yet regardless of how long we stare in their direction, nothing changes. At times, we feel powerless. We fight the enemy with declarations of God's Word, we fast and pray, and do everything in the natural to fix what we can, only to wind up exhausted.
God Has a Better Way Every opposition we face must be met with faith. We know this. As bel3 years ago Read more -
Blog postThis morning, as I was getting gloriously "sucked" into that place of worship where nothing else matters, I felt the Lord speaking to my heart:
"This is the place I have created you for. The invitation for peace and total release from stress, is always available. There is only one reason why you have days when you can't seem to shake the relentless thoughts—it's because you haven't gone far enough into love. Fall deeper, past the shackles of this world that bind you to3 years ago Read more -
Blog postIt was just over twenty years ago that I heard Fuschia Pickett say something that changed my life. She said, "You can have as much of God as you want." I'm sure I'd heard that said before, but that day it came with the breath of God upon it. That was the day I made the decision to wake-up early in the morning to start seek His presence before anything else. I had one small child and a baby at the time and sleep was a rare commodity. For the first couple of weeks, I remember thinking3 years ago Read more

Blog postRecently, I've been faced with two extreme contradictions. While processing with the Lord, here is what I saw: A gigantic rubber band with amazing opportunities pulling on one side and on the other side, a very heart-rending situation. Smack dab in the middle, being yanked back and forth by these two contrasting conditions, was me. There I was, my head jerking from side to side, with no way to get my footing. I had no time to focus on either side, because I would immediately be jerked to the3 years ago Read more

Blog postThere is always a light in the dark tunnel. Shake off the discouragement, worry, fear, and disappointments—they must not define you. No matter what you are facing, remember that God is bigger, more powerful, and still in the miracle-working business.
Lift your eyes and your worship to Him! Fill your mouth with praise and declarations of the answer and let Him take care of the problem. God is good. He loves you. He has the answer that you need. Let His perfect love cast out every3 years ago Read more -
Blog postThis morning I heard the Lord say,
"Don't look behind you to see what was. Turn your eyes with expectation to what lies ahead. With each step forward, pave the road before you with words of faith and declaration. Let words of fear, doubt, and disappointment be left behind—otherwise they fall from your lips like quicksand upon a path that is meant to be paved with golden truth. Blog postThis morning I felt a rumble in my spirit—like thunderous clouds announcing the coming lightning. The image of God rising from His throne and planting His feet forcefully on the ground ran through my mind. The Father was about to address the chaos. In my spirit I heard these words, "Enough is enough! Declare the victory! Stand firmly with your feet planted in My truth. In faith and boldness, declare My promises over your situation. Blog postI saw a fiery blue flame resting on our hearts. It was burning with faith and power, stirring our resolve. Beneath it, flowed a stream of peace melting into the deepest caverns of fear and unbelief.
Then I heard the Lord say, "Declare your victory! Stand in confidence and shake off the dirty rags of doubt. You are more than a conqueror! I created you for victory! You have the power to change things! Drench your soul, not with thoughts of what has gone wrong or what could go wrong,3 years ago Read more -
Blog postThe other day my daughter told me about a woman who believes she is a cat. It seems safe to say that the attack against identity is running rampant. It also seems safe to say that discovering our true identity is on the Lord’s heart.
Recently, at a routine doctor’s visit, two of the questions they are required to verbally ask, surprised me:
1. Are you a female, male, or other?
2. How would you like us to refer to you: she, he, or other?

Blog postEaster Sunday is a day for us to turn our hearts and remember the single greatest act of love the world has ever known. Yet the beauty of Resurrection Sunday, extends far beyond one day. The revelation of this perfect, extravagant love, must become so real that we are aware of it every day of the year.
Jesus’s unrelenting love has no conditions. It desired us and saw our beauty, even in our most miserable mess. It has the strength to silence every lie and the tenderness to draw3 years ago Read more -
Blog postAll of us have at least one thing we are standing in faith for. Day after day, we pray. We stand. We worship and we declare God's truth. Until the manifestation comes, we wait and we believe—sometimes through tears and sometimes with tenacity. Always, by His grace.
This morning the Lord gave me flashbacks of moments in my life that literally changed everything. Scene after scene, I was reminded of the power that one moment holds. One word I'd waited to hear, one decision, one touch of3 years ago Read more
