Anytime we have made cookies using the press that we've had for a few years, it has been a chore due to the press slipping from the plastic part where it is supposed to click into place, and every cookie took 5-6 angry clicks instead of a single easy one. Do that for 6 dozen cookies and you'll only make cookies twice a year, or less. For our child's third birthday party, we made some cookies using that press and it was decided that enough was enough. While searching Amazon for a replacement cookie press, preferably one that didn't have any plastic parts where it counts, we came across this Marcato Biscuits Cookie Press and added it to our watch list. When it dropped in price we quickly jumped at buying it to replace the other one.

This Marcarto cookie press utilizes metal parts in the places where you need it,

Oh my god. What an amazing little tool. I never imagined that I could make such gorgeous and elegant cookies. My 2 year old was pressing the cookies and they came out absolutely beautiful. Finally, cookies I can be proud of and give away as treats! The press is beautifully built, easy to use, such pleasure to work with. So many dies to try, all the shapes are so elegant. We had great fun playing with them! The basic dough recipe in the little book is spot on, just go with it and don't look back. Cookies come out perfectly balanced, not too sweet, with slightly chewy texture and beautiful golden color. I think the fact that there are no egg whites, just yolks, gives it that rich texture. You know how sometimes cookies can have that unpleasant "glassy" texture when you bite into them? Well, there is none of

I love this cookie press! I'm a newbie when it comes to cookie presses, so I watched several videos to get the hang of it before I made cookies. I found a spritz cookie recipe online that worked great. The press is well-made, easy to use, and easy to clean. The resulting cookies are BEAUTIFUL! It's super fun to make cookies with this press. UPDATED to say this press is great for cheese straws, too. It comes with a star die, which works perfectly for cheese straws. I've also started using the lever attachment for extra leverage when needed. I find it useful when making large spritz cookies. Be sure to put your cookie sheets in the freezer before pressing cookies so they'll stick better to the sheet. Still loving this cookie press.

I've listened to my wife scream and yell every Christmas for over 40 years when making Spritz cookies with the old metal screw press that she got from her mother. She once got another press but it broke right away and she went back to the old one. Finally, the old one just now bit the dust when the threads wore out in the middle of a batch. I found this Oxo press on-line and read the reviews.
I made a quick trip down to Bed Bath and Beyond and got the Oxo press. What an improvement! We whipped out the rest of the Spritz cookies in no time. Read all the other reviews for tips. We found that the cookie sheets have to be free of grease AND put them in the freezer so that they are ice cold when you press the cookies. It

Okay...while nothing will ever replace my electric cookie shooter that sadly died after 25 of faithful cookie service, I researched the world over, (they just don’t make the electric ones anymore! Why!, but my conclusion is that the OXO COOKIE GRIPS Press is a good substitute. Easy to use! Easy to clean and the see thru barrel is a must! The cookie dye I used for my spritz recipe worked out great, albeit the cookies were rather small for my desires, but a double hit on the crank fixed that by doubling the cookie in size on the sheet. Good luck! I like this shooter, it’s good.

I wrote the OXO company with the question of how to accomplish cheese straws. Unfortunately, they did not respond (frown). This makes my rating a 4 instead of 5. This was dumb luck: I extruded the mixture using the wreath disc. Clicked maybe 6 times. Sliced the pieces of dough off and twisted them, as I prefer. I like to freeze on the pan for 15 minutes, to preserve shape, then bake. Merry Christmas from Fairhope, Alabama.

This was really easy to use. I used the wilton recipe on the box, the part of the instructions where it says to form the dough into a log I couldn't see how that would be possible with how soft the dough was, so I just spoon packed it into the cylinder and everything worked fine. I thought making spritz cookies would be hard but it was super easy. I chilled my sheet pans in the freezer so the cookies would stick better when pressing.

So if you're like me and hopeless at baking cookies that aren't deformed-looking (or just not willing to put in all the time required), this is so awesome! I was clicking and punching out cookies like a pro in absolutely no time. And they were PERFECT. Trust me, if I can do this, absolutely anyone can. I read all the reviews before starting and absurdly I was even a bit nervous before my first batch. It sounded kind of, well, complicated (make sure all the air bubbles are out, make sure the cookie sheet cools in between, the gadget may break, etc.) It was instead super easy. I just followed the instructions which were quite simple. I used the recipe on the box. I didn't pay any mind to air pockets or hot cookie sheets and it worked out great. One thing I absolutely loved about this is that there's

I received the cookie press on time as promised and quickly washed it to use because I already had my cookie dough made. The reason I bought such an inexpensive one is because I know I have a cookie press already and couldn't find it, thus the reason I already had cookie dough made. I already had read that the teeth in the gun had to be a certain direction for it to work. Well, it still didn't work correctly. The dough would come out but never released from the gun, just kept piling out. Not happy at all. Since it was only ten dollars, I won't return it but I was very disappointed. I ended up shaping the dough into candy canes.

I love this cookie press. I was easily able to make spritz cookies and also had fun decorating my cut out cookies. It is easy to switch out the discs for different shapes and also has a nice assortment of icing tips. I have purchased different cookie presses before but this one is the best.

Ugh, this cookie press was one use only and in the trash it goes...Extremely hard to use (made butter cookies for Christmas). So hard on the hands and wrists. Broke on the first use. And my husband has been using cookie presses for years (bought this one to replace the old one that finally broke after years of making perfect cookies). Don't bother...keep looking for a better one!

I bought these discs when I bought my Kuhn Rikon Cookie Press. They looked super cute & had different designs than what came with my cookie press.
They were everything I expected as far as different designs. Super cute! Only problem is the discs were thicker than could be used with my cookie press. I really wish I could have used the discs with my cookie press.
I ended up giving them to my friend for her to use with her cookie press. Unfortunately I don’t know the brand of her press. But I do know it was expensive & her husband bought it at William Sonoma years ago.
I do recommend these discs. Great quality & again super cute! But buyer beware that they may not fit in your cookie press. ☹️

Buying this set of additional discs for a cookie press to make quarter sized cookies is not very useful. The disks are stainless, but of less quality than the OXO disks. The designs are OK, nothing more special than the disks that come with the OXO press.

I've been using my grandmother's 1940's style metal press until it's notches bent rendering it unusable. Small grieving process led me to Amazon and this press. I am please, especially with it's metering capability and the trigger action not present in the oldie but goodie. Still takes a learning curve to get the feel of it so the cookies come out right.

I like the frosting attachments. Used one of them to make wreaths as I did with my old one. Once I got the 'feel' of this press, it worked great.

Cleaning similar to old press. Given hot enough water to melt the buttery film, not too bad a clean. Hoping it will hold up--time will tell. Plastic tends to not be an intergenerational material for something with moving parts.

My wife got this for Christmas. Upon the first use, the tube became so locked into the handle, that I needed water pump pliers to remove it. Needless to say, the tube cracked. It still works, but I question the ability to sanitize it.
In analyzing the failure, it appears it cross threads easily and the two plastics meld.

This cookie press is almost like my old one. I am thrilled! Everyone is now making a press that makes little tiny cookies. I don't want little tiny cookies. I guess I must be old fashioned, but I like spritz cookies with some body to them. I like to decorate them. The new, tiny cookies cannot hold any decorations. Wilton has also gone to very tiny cookies, so I won't use theirs either.

The press itself worked ok. The recipe included was incomplete as far as what ingredients to combine first. It was a mess trying to get it mixed together. I am also disappointed that I cannot get any other types of discs that fit this press. Had I known that in the beginning, I probably would not have purchased the item.

You have to freeze baking pans, brush with butter to get cookies to stick to pan. Freeze pan after each bake. I use Nordic Ware pans. You have to roll dough the size of cylinder and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate. Push dough all the way down to get even cookies. If dough is too soft, refrigerate and try again. Can’t be soft. You don’t have to clean anything as you are baking, just wipe off with clean towel on outside. If dough is too stiff, it will make a popping noise. Use the recipe that comes with machine. It is perfect for the cookie press. I made 500 cookies and they were so good and press is still going strong. Put in airtight container and they will last a couple weeks. Not a sweet cookie. Add a little more sugar if plain but sweetened sprinkles will add

Great product. Just make sure you follow cookie press recipe instructions. Some have you refrigerate dough and others don't. You do NOT need to freeze the pans and shouldn't put anything on the pans (parchment paper, butter, etc) before pressing the cookie dough. Sometimes you have to click twice on the first good press but just once after. You cant use any cookie recipe, only ones made for presses that will flow through the press, aren't too soft and wont spread out when baking. Dont stuff the cylinder all the way to the top either.

The plastic cookie press that I had would not extrude cheese straws. I could do them with a 1M piping tip, but only after warming the contents in the bag. The Mirro makes extruding a breeze. It cut the time to make the cheese straws tremendously.

Ordered this cookie press since our old electric one broke. Tried other brands and we were not happy. This cookie press far exceeded our expectations. Easy to use! Our cookies actually came out all the same size. We are very happy with this cookie press so I ordered 2 more as gifts. Both folks were also very happy. A definite kitchen helper!

I have had a cookie press like this from this company for years!!! It finally broke after Christmas and I purchased this one by the same company. I used it for the first time today. It was AWFUL!!! Getting the dough to come out was terrible. The press would only click two times and no more. I could not get more dough to come out onto the cookie sheet. I had to try to make the cookies over and over again. only some dough would come out but not stick to the cookie sheet. I wasted so much time. I would think twice if I was you in buying this product.

I was hesitant. There weren't any reviews. But, I wanted a metal cookie press, not plastic. I wanted it of good quality and affordable so I won't have to ever buy another one again. I did my research on the owners and their desire to have a great quality and affordable product. I ordered it. I tried it. I absolutely love it. I wasn't wild about the disks being plastic, but when I saw how durable they were, I put them to the test. They passed with flying colors. The only thing I would want are tips for frosting.

So far I have loved using this cookie shooter. I had a plastic one before that never worked right and was hard to clean. This is heavy-duty and comes apart for easy cleaning. I haven't used it for icing yet but as a cookie press I can't think of much they could do to improve it.

Not what I was hoping for. The same as every other press, nothing special. I wanted a press that I could use easily with one hand while guiding the shape of the dough with the other. I had one for 20 years that worked like that but haven't been able to replace it. I'll add this HuiJia to the pile - I now have 7 in the cookie press cemetery in my closet.
