Started using this Shell Rotella T6 oil instead of Mobil1 when I noticed that I was losing more oil between oil changes. From the few popular Subaru forums, they seem to have a consensus that the Mobil1 is too thin and gets past the turbo seals and gets burned off as a result. Started using this and definitely have noticed less oil

I've been using this full synthetic oil for a number of years in my Ford 7.3 liter turbo-diesel. I change it every 5,000-6,000 miles and never need to add any between changes. It holds up really well, and the engine is still running great with over 300,000 miles on

This is the BEST oil you can get stateside for Saabs, Subarus, along with other forced induction cars. Its marketed as a "HEAVY DUTY DIESEL OIL" but... dont be alarmed folks, this merely applies to the ADDITIVE PACKAGES that are added into this motor oil. Diesel engines generally require much higher lubricity and wear protection vs

I like this product because the molecules are built up rather than refined down. That means you get a more uniform molecules so better lubrication. It’s cheap too. Sorry for nerding out but I’m a

First, a disclaimer: if you ask 10,000 car nuts what their favorite oil is, you'll get 10,000 answers and 10,000 reasons why. So, YMMV.

I originally tried this oil on a Subaru Forester, and it made the engine considerably quieter to me, but even my mom asked why the engine was suddenly not making so much noise. So it's not

I needed a 1/4 quart more than planned. Comparing this oil to another brand I grabbed at a brick store was interesting. The for the masses ($3 less) retail brand was thicker. I hope no one thinks that is better, its not a milk shake. Thicker does not equal better for the same SAE axle oil. This can be a sign of cruder less refined

Did some research and had doubts about the quality. Decided to put this in my 20 year old John Deere Walk behind. I emailed RP and asked them if it would hurt the engine since it was so old. The product description says that this oil has an API service SN. What was delivered has an API service of SJ. Depending upon the age of your engine, this is significant. Fortunately, my engine is old enough that an API service SJ is considered to meet specs. If, however, I had a more recent engine, say built after 2010, the

Mobile 1 Turbo Diesel Truck oil has the most ZDDP, of all the non-race rated Mobil 1 products.
