Replacement for Suburban Rv/camper water heater. I bought a used camper that was only 1 year old. When I replaced the rod it should have been around the 2 year mark. It’s recommended to change yearly and I agree. Replacement is easy. Remove old rod. Rinse tank good with garden nozzle or similar until clean water. Put new rod in. I took

I had a water quality issue, rotten egg smell and after a few quick online searches it seemed this was linked to worn out anode, I inspected and my anode was completely eroded. This part fit well, I bleached and flushed my water system and all is well again. In future I will check this each year and now have a spare. Recommend this

This will be the second anode rod we have installed. The units came as expected and in good shape. The Teflon tape included is a bonus. Didn't have to "find" the rolls in the workshop. Great value as to buy one in a camping store or big box was the same price as one. Will find out how well it works in

The anode was part of the servicing I'm doing on our Pleasure Way Excel, just the standard stuff that has to be done when you get a new to you vehicle.
In the past I've found anodes that were eroded down to the wire.
As it turns out this one must have been replaced fairly recently and was only partially corroded. I replaced it

Before installing this unit we were doing a chlorine shock on our well every two weeks. Since installation, it has now been over three months and still no need to do a chlorine shock. IMPORTANT: Before you start... Turn off the breaker to your

Was a perfect fit for our Dometic RV hot water heater. I would really like to urge those with hot water tanks to change this out every year. Update: There appears to be large manufacturing tolerances. I ordered three, one measured 11k Ohm, another 20k Ohm, and a third 46k Ohm, at 80 degrees room temperature. Per spec, 20k appears about right. 11k is too low, and 46k is very close to 50k trigger point, I sent this one back. You may want to measure them first before replacing,

I only became properly aware of the presence and purpose of the water heater anode recently. I figured mine would be toast given that my heater is 17 years old. Be careful when tightening the fittings, especially the fittings in the Tankless heater, ensure you use a wrench to hold the fitting there not to twist off or damage the copper fitting piping inside the heater. And use the right size wrench and not pliers or channel locks, because you can damage or round off the the edges of fittings.
