Pros:
* Multiple joints that slide well, easy to tune and adjust pinky holes
* Sounds just like I remember from 20 years ago
* I learned how to play the Harry Potter song and I can reliably get 70-80% of the notes correct

Cons:

On a Friday the school sends home a letter that says our kids are going to be learning the recorder and they need to bring one to school... on Monday.

I crisis ordered this bad boy. Turns out there's options for recorders. It's been a minute since I played the recorder in grade school and I had no idea what I was shopping for.

At age 59, I decided that I wanted to learn to play the harmonica. Not wanting to spend a bunch of money, I chose the Fender Blues Deluxe. I have been a singer my entire life, yet I don't read music that well. I watched several YouTube videos on the basics, paused them a few times while I mastered the skill and within 2 days I am now

I am an absolute beginner when it comes to playing the harp. I have never even held one before. I purchased this on a whim before I realized that Harmonicas in the key of C are the most common variety. Just about every beginner's guide teaches you how to play using a key of C instrument. You could still learn on a "G" but the

I found a hohner golden melody harmonica in my moms house and started messing around with it but it was not in key of c so I bought this one because of the cost. I played it for a few days and found it took a lot of air to play. I also found that the 2 draw and 3 blow were different and when I tried the high notes they were tough to get

I have more Gs than anything: one for the vehicle, one for the leather 4-pack (GACD), and one around the house to pick up and play. I KNOW...most of you believe that a C is the best Every Day Carry or beginner harp but G is best because the higher holes blow easier than any of the regular keys. I don't know how C got started, probably

What a difference $20 makes. Don't buy the cheaper version for $10-20. Get this one. I tried to learn how to play the Harmonica on a cheap Harmonica and had difficulty with air. The cheap version let most of the air out. Not this one. This is pretty much airtight and is so much more easier on the lungs. I am really enjoying this.

The harmonica is OK. What I hate about it is the fact that it's advertised with a 30 day free online lessons. Guess what, when you will go to use it, here's the message you will get: "Free trials with Hohner are temporarily disabled due to policy updates. Please check back soon to register"....seriously??!! As a new harmonica player I have been searching for one that is easy to learn on. As a fan of great sound (read hi-fi nut) I also want a harmonica that sounds musically excellent. Bought two of these ... one for my Dad and one for me. My Dad has played for years, but his old Hohner Harmonica was not sounding very good and hearing a lot of wrong notes. It's perfect for very young children 2 1/2 and 5. It is sturdy and in tune. It is a popular toy in my house and a perfect introduction to make-your-own -music. I really would prefer not to give it the "I love it" rating. However that is because of the constant sounds that are produced by a fourth grade student and nothing to do with the actual instrument. Most of us learn to play recorder on inexpensive plastic instruments. There is nothing wrong with that. Frankly some them (such as Eastar's own) sound and play amazingly well. -Far better than the plastic instruments of not too many years ago.
