A decent story, but not when compared to Seuss's other work

I don't recall reading this one when I was a child (and I thought I had read all of Dr. Seuss's catalogue) but, compared to his other works, this one is a bit weak. Also, and I've seen other reviewers mention it, he does use the words "dumb" and "stupid", the former more than once. IF those are words you're trying to avoid, best to avoid this book as well. Normally his stories have a positive, or, at the least, a thought-provoking message, but this one starts with a kid who's bored and can't decide what to do (fertile ground for a morality play) and ends up deciding, after a lengthy debate with himself, to eat 6 hot dogs. It's silly, as it is meant to be, but not exactly where I had hoped the story was going. On a final note, he also casts homework and bike maintenance in a negative light, which I thought was strange.
