Cam Jansen is a super detective due to her photographic memory. Cam and her best friend Eric are out selling fudge bars and rice cakes for charity when they notice a woman with sunglasses and a raincoat carrying a bag to a garbage can. The strange thing is it isn't raining or sunny out, so why the glasses and coat? Before Eric can say wait, Cam is on the case trying to figure out what the strange lady is up to. While the garbage doesn't look to crazy when they dig through it, soon new clues unveil themselves to a true mystery that needs to be solved. Can Cam solve the mystery or does she need a little police intervention?
The Cam Jansen series is a great way to get young readers interested in thinking outside the box and start putting clues together. As an adult reader, I do believe the book was solved a bit too easily by a young girl, but in truth that is part of the fun. I know my two children love the series and I think other children will too. Once they get a taste of Cam Jansen they will be hooked
