Couldn't read it fast enough

This storyline had me hooked and I couldn't wait to finish it to see how it ended. It was very different from the Rom com books I usually read. The characters were interesting, Ssome very likeable and some made me so mad, I wanted to reach into the pages and slap them, but then they would turn around and do something good, so I liked them again! I think This is one of the best books I have read by Kristin Hannah (so far) and I have read several books by her and think she is an excellent story teller and writer and I will continue to look for more of her books.

I began this book with high hopes, as I’ve always loved Kristin Hannah’s books.
I was disappointed at first. It was a nice story, a bit predictable, and trite. And then the last third of the book was great. Once again, very predictable, but really a good story…and we need nice stories these days!
I totally enjoyed it, and would recommend it with the caveat that it isn’t one of her best books, but is a good, rainy weekend kind of book.

Complex and totally complete tale of a fascinating trio of sisters

Hard to characterize, as this novel has it all: romance, both good and failed; crime and questions about who really did the deed; and complicated family relationships among sisters and their father. Set in beautiful western Washington, it focuses on the Grey sisters and what happens over approximately twenty years.

The complexities of the characters pull in the reader and hold them from first page to last. In fact, I hated to reach the end of the story, wishing it had continued into yet another story of that family and its oh so interesting members. Well worth a good read.

This book had me hooked from the very beginning. I love books about women and particularly sisters. Even though these sisters had very imperfect relationships with one another, they always worked through their issues and landed on love and family. This story shows the power of bitterness and unfair judgment and how it can change your entire life and family. But love can even overcome that. I highly recommend this book and as you read it, do a little soul searching of your own.
