So close but not quite. I did however make some changes to the book myself! *see photos

This book was nearly ideal for us but....some of the messages seemed unfinished.
1) Anger. That was big WTF for me. ‘Sometimes you want to take out your anger on others. But I’ll be nice to you, Color Monster, and your anger will disappear.’ ..............hmmmmm........soooooo okay......what do you do with that anger instead? Is it okay to be mean to someone and take out your anger on them? And the message of, ‘when you’re angry, life can feel unfair:’ That felt unfinished to me and self defeating so I added, ‘even if it’s not.’
2. Fear. That was minor but I added, ‘you are brave!’
3. The end of the book. That felt unfinished to me too. Now that you have the emotions all sorted and identified what then???? All better? I added, ‘you know what they are. It’s okay to to feel and have all of your feelings.’ I’ll add to that after I have read the book to my kids that all of the Monster’s feelings are sorted out and identified so he knows what they are called and how it makes him feel.
This book is for my 2 and 5 year olds so I tried to keep my edits about their understanding of things and have talking/teaching opportunities
