3.0 out of 5 starsDisappointing ending to an otherwise fantastic series

I have absolutely loved this series. The character development is wonderful, Oberon is hilarious, the magic is, well, magical. After reading the series, I want to become a druid. Lol.
That said, I was so disappointed with this last book. Like others have said, it seemed rushed, the details of the previous books are missing.
*Spoilers*
The treatment of Atticus at the end was terrible. Yes, I know he's was told he'd suffer great pain, but wasn't losing his arm and a good portion of his connection to his druidic powers enough? The way Granuaile treated him did not fit at all with the relationship we had been reading about. Or the kind of person she was. Yes, he's a flawed man, but he owns his mistakes and he's just trying to do the best he can. What he did was totally a forgivable offense. He was just trying to protect her and ensure that druids continue.
The after story makes it worse. Instead of reconciliation with Granuaile, he's flirting with another woman only a few months later? Come on.
