My student wanted a MTH book with stickers-- the book cover photo shows this one has them. It doesn't. The stickers are a great motivator for her to read more than scheduled because she can't get the stickers until she's finished the book.
This book series is worth ten stars. I read these to my kindergarten class and the kids love them. The stories are well written, educational, and keep the children enthralled. In addition, the books invoke the children's imaginations and usually lead them to create their own Jack and Annie adventures.
This book was an easy and interesting read for my seven year old son. He didn't expect it to be about Charles Dickens, he thought it would be about ghostsd because of the cover art. Still, he liked it.
Mary Pope Osborne's books are written for young to mid elementary aged children. This series is a wonderful one, full of adventure and learning. As an educator I have used these books to teach science and history. The information presented and readiability level is very age appropriate.
