Danielle Steel has another hit on her hands! Daddy's Girls is about three sisters who were raised by their father. They knew in their own way they were loved him. The father suddenly dies and family secrets come to light. many changes take place and lives are changed.Kate, Gemma, and Caroline discover things about themselves the year after their father dies that bring them closer and make the family ties tighter. I started reading this book and did not want to put it down. I highly recommend it especially if you are a Danielle Steel fan. I have been for years. I have read every single book she has ever written.

Too repetitious. Repeated the same things about the characters. Kept saying what the dad thought about the girls, how he kept them from the mom, and how he lied. I got bored! The book would been half as long if she hadn't repeated everything over and over. This book was not Danielle Steele qualuty. I definitely would not purchase it again. I definitely would not recommend it!

Would not recommend this book to anyone. I haven't read a lot of her newer books because I got bored with her books. Her best book ever was "Thurston House". Everything else pales in comparison. I have read her books forever.

I don’t understand the redundancy in her writing. I’ve read very few of Steele’s books and have not picked one up in a long time. Maybe this is why. She says what she needs to say in one sentence and then spends the next 2 or 3 paragraphs reiterating that one sentence. I feel my brain cells leaking out of my ears! Sorry loyal DS fans!

Kate came across as easily likable. She worked at her father's side her entire life basking in nature and her love of the land. She knew her father best because she was there day in and day out but their relationship was far from close knit.

Gemma shows her spoiled side from the get go and makes you think you can't possibly relate to her and her divaness ... but she quickly grows and becomes more personable. She was her father's favorite ... and he never was shy about screaming that from the rooftops.

Caroline came across as cold, but as her story unfolds, we understand her more. She was the youngest and the forgotten. She was quick to leave the ranch and set out in her own life as a wife, mother and writer and never really looked back.

Three sisters reconnect and prosper as life moves forward after turmoil. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of a family centric saga with heartache and romance woven in brilliantly.

JULY 2020 : 3 STARS. Upon the death of their dad, 3 very different daughters, thru the paper trail he leaves behind, begin to reveal much more than the 3 sisters ever guessed about who he really was. It will turn their worlds upside down and each of them must grapple with a new reality.

I've read to many books to list, most of them 3 stars with the odd few at 4 stars. This is a typical Danielle Steel book and moves along at a fast pace. There is an interesting mystery that keeps me reading to find out "why". The answer comes quickly and after that the 3 sisters simple continue their lives. Warm ending. Nice break from my usual mysteries/thrillers.

This was yet another beautiful Danielle Steel story. The ranch setting is beautiful and the characters interesting. I find it hard to accept much less like the father. His treatment of his ex-wife and their three daughters was horrendous. To pretend to his daughters that their mother is dead is beyond cruel, and it was hard to accept how they seemingly loved and honored him in the end. No, carrying hate in your heart is wrong and self-destructive, but it is hard to swallow the three daughters seeming acceptance of his actions. Still, I love Danielle Steel's books and this was no exception.

I have not read one of her books in many years. Not sure they will be a top choice again any time soon. She repeated the same exact things over and over. I honestly feel this is a disservice to her fans, who pay a lot for her new releases. It almost seems like Steele had writer's block and just needed to fill the pages for a full length novel. It is almost disrespecting to her fan's time. I am a busy woman. This could have been a GREAT book, but most certainly in half the words to make a short story NOT a full length novel. I am shocked that Amazon has as 4.7/5.

Purchased along with Royal and The Wedding Dress. Having read the first two, I was really hoping this would be better. It's not. The story lines in all of them are decent, but she repeats, repeats, repeats details with nauseating regularity. I struggled through the first two, am only a few chapters into this and am giving up. Either DS is mailing it in deliberately, or she's totally lost her touch. Don't bother buying any of these books new, these read and toss pieces will be piling up at your local used bookstore.
