Like others have stated if your kids like super why they they will like these books. I bought several of these in the series and my kids love singing the jingle from the show as it I read it in the book. The pull out flaps work great but can be torn easily if your little one isn't careful. The books are written after different episodes and follow the episode very closely. My only gripe about these books is that the text is very small, I'm in my 30's and if the lighting isn't good I have a hard time reading them. It gets worse when I'm tired and trying to read after a long day. Other than that they are a hit with the kids.
We love the super why series, and this book is great for my 3 1/2 year old just beginning to read. He likes the super why characters and they do a great job of getting him interested in reading. Big print helps in this story too.

I bought this for my 2 year old son for the upcomming Halloween season. He loves it. I imagine it follows the story line when that comes out, like all the other Super Why books. All the Halloween creatures are cute and non threatning. Had this about a week, and I have been requested to read it every nap and bed time. A big hit for any Super Why fan. The books is about Alpha Pig who was afraid of Halloween. The story of the ghost being afraid is how they show Pig not to be afraid. At the end they show him the vampire, and witch were just kids dressed up for Halloween. He is relieved they were "pretending" and ready to continue with the Halloween celebration. I would guess this would be helpful for kids who get freaked out by some of the more adult costumes. You can remind them they are "pretending" like in Super Why.
