Author Seems to be an Eyewitness

The author combines scholarly research with the ability to tell a lively story. Neither talent gets in the way of the other: you don't have to be boring to produce a work of historical accuracy. I was surprised to learn that, contrary to Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR, Antony probably never rallied the mob with his spellbinding oratory. He was a dull speaker. Everything I have by this author, one of my favorites, was well worth my time.
