I am no longer a fan of the SB novels. Plots are thin and repetitive. They are soft porn and appear to be written in the persona of Woods: 50-65 year, average looking, thinning hair, out of shape, will mount any woman on this planet without thoughts to STDs, pregnancy, and feelings.
Although the women are smart and tops in their professions, they fall into bed with a stranger without a second thought.
Stone is an old horn dog who uses his money to pay off the women and treats them all like prostitutes to serve his needs for which he can pay without blinking. Stone throws money at people, things, problems and does not invest any of himself in anyone: life is just one big playground to romp through and not commit to anyone or any thing.
For all the booze, wine and food he consumes without going to a gym or exercising at home, his body has got to be bloated and he has to have a myriad of medical problems. I kept thinking over the years, that Woods will mature Stone from his puerile ways and stop with the wanton sex every 10 pages with a different woman in each scene and stop presenting women as prostitutes. James Bond Stone is NOT!
