It was smaller than my 2 year old's usual books but it was the perfect size to put in a bag when we go out. It keeps her busy when sitting down and traveling. This is perfect for little kids who likes animals and saying their different sounds. The quality is very good and does not easily get torn. It also has a good list of animals you would usually find in a barn(Cow, Pig, Chick, Pony, Duck, Goat, Dog, Cat, Rooster, Owl). It has great colorful illustrations.

This is definitely a good value for the price. Totally worth it.

Not a fan of its small size.

I was anticipating a larger board book- this is only 2 inches by 3 inches. Super small, so a plus for purses, diaper bags, etc. A bummer if its a gift as you want it to look a bit bigger than it really is. Content wise, it is cute and kids will love opening the flaps.

I just received this today, but I'll be testing it out with my granddaughter later today. It appears very durable with sturdy tabs to lift. My granddaughter loves books with the tabs to lift and I like when they are sturdy and can endure a 15 month old. One page of the book will ask what makes such and such a sound and then you lift the tab to see what animal makes that sound. Should be fun.

Way too small. It was my mistake for not looking carefully at the product dimensions. I recommend you save your money and buy a book that is actually usable. It is so tiny my baby keeps trying to eat it.
Also, I got this because I thought the flip parts would be chunkier than usual but they are not. They are very easy to rip apart and the size in my opinion makes it a potential choking hazard.

Teeny Tiny and very Flimsy

This book is teeny tiny. Like 3"x3" roughly? That might be great if you plan on putting this in a diaper bag.
However, the pages and flaps are VERY flimsy. No way will this last even a month with my 1 year old. I thought about keeping this book for when she's old enough to not rip it apart on accident but... I'd still probably want to monitor her using it, which means there's not much point in it being sized for on-the-go. I don't think I'd trust her not to rip this up until she's probably about 2 and by then, this book will be lost probably. I'll probably end up returning it. This would be a good book for a 3 year old +/-.

I bought this book for my then 20 month old granddaughter about 6 months ago. It's a very simple little book; it asks who makes a certain sound and then you lift the flap to reveal a picture of the animal.
My granddaughter *loves* it. She snuggles into my lap and we read it over and over. She loves lifting the flaps, which amazingly are still intact, and she loves making the animal sound and announcing the name of the animal. It's small enough to fit in my purse, so I often take it along if we are going out.
She still likes the book 6 months later, and my almost 4 year old grandson likes it, too.

Great First Lift the Flap, and Diaper Bag Book

Children open the lift-the-flap barn doors to reveal "Who says moo?"/ "Who says baa? et cetera". A very cute, pocket-sized book with bright colorful, and not overly cartoony illustrations.

Our Thoughts
There are a lot of pages in this tiny book which is good. Its pretty sturdy, the flaps are a bit hard to do since they're so tiny but that deters tearing! I love the illustrations and thoughtful and unique flap for each animal (e.g. kittens are inside a basket, a goat stands behind a laundry line, a duck waits behind bulrushes). Its the perfect size both for little hands to read on their own, and to fit in my purse. I can whip it out while were standing on line in the supermarket or waiting to be served in a restaurant and read it to my son. He received it as a Christmas gift at 13 months old. At 18 months old, he enjoys this book a lot and can now open the flaps himself. He likes hearing me the animal noises and loves being surprised by what's waiting behind the door. As he has grown older I can now quiz him before we reveal the animal and he signs his answer. Recently I caught him reading it all by himself, so now, I give it to him to read on his own in the shopping cart thereby buying myself at least a few brief moments of cooperation! Great little book highly recommended! We actually lost this book during a an outing and I will definitely be replacing it as my son LOVES it!
It's useful for teaching animal names, animals sounds and life on the farm.

This book gets brought along on a lot of outings because of its perfect tiny size and fun lift-the-flap elements! Both my kids learned animal sounds and playing "peek a boo" with the animals beneath the flaps. I especially appreciate how the book and flaps are nice and sturdy. My daughter is really rough with books, and I've had to re-purchase several of her favorite books that she's torn the flaps off of. Not this one! It's still holding strong after two kids. Also, can't beat the amazing price!

Weird animal noise choices and super tiny.

Not impressed with this book. Some of the noises that it says the animals make seem like they should be different. Also they should’ve used more common animals. The book is so tiny I should’ve looked at the dimensions...I was thinking it’d be bigger than it is. I guess it’ll be a diaper bag book that I can keep in the diaper bag since it’s so small.
