Great book of JD songs.

This book is great for beginner, intermediate or advanced guitar players. The sheet music shows the chords with finger placement. I had to buy the book to get the list of songs in it, so I am providing it here for others to see. These are most of John Denver's greatest hits, only a few are missing.

I like everything about it except the quality of the paper

I like everything about it except the quality of the paper. The music and presentation is good. If it was on a better quality paper and a darker font I would give it a five. It does have the selection of songs, all the chords and notes that I was looking for.

I just started to learn the guitar for fun and I am retired. After learning some basics found that I would learn better if I played songs. This is a great book. Most of the cords are the same and I am enjoying it. If I could only sing! Oh well. I recommend it if you like his music as I do.

I enjoy this book. Some of my favorite songs are John Denver's and playing "Leaving on a Jet Plane," is simply fun.
Listen to the songs and you'll find that figuring out the beat/strum won't be hard. "Country Roads" is here too and not hard to play. The neighbors may think you're getting carried away, but it's fun.

This basic chord book shows guitar tab, melody notation, chord changes by words of the song and all verses. I love it as I'm a raw beginner and even i can play these songs. All chords to a song are presented upfront, so you know going in what ones you have to practice, which helps a lot. I tuned 2 guitars, and a friend and I can practice and play - as she sings and I don't. Definitely a good learner's book. Shows strum timing also. If you don't know guitar tab, this is not a learner's explanation for that, so use another source to learn - its pretty easy I've found. I'm totally non-musical but I love these songs of my youth!
