Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
What can I say, except if you enjoy cooking and enjoy a good story at the same time, this is the cookbook for you. Her first book was great and this second book just continues on from where the first book left off. Marcelle is a master story teller as well as a master cook. I have had the pleasure of tasting some of her food and interacting with her and her husband Rock. She prepares great food, combines it with a great personality and then has the ability to write about it in an entertaining and fun to read book. "Try it, you'll like it."
Yes, my mama is Cajun, I am Catholic, and I can make a roux!!!! I love this book. It brought back memories of my Cajun Grandmother and Mom and the cooking they did and the family get togethers. I grew up on gumbo and all the other wonderful Cajun dishes in this book.
Aside from the recipes, it is a wonderful tribute to the typical Cajun family and traditions and a wonderful history of this Author's own family.
Now this is not your usual cookbook. This is filled with anecdotes and old photos of the author's family. What a blast from the past! Being a New Englander, I had never even heard of some of the recipes, but they are yummy!
