All of the books in the SNAFU series of short story anthologies have been excellent, so I was expecting more of the same from the latest offering, SNAFU: UNNATURAL SELECTION. Surprisingly however, I found this latest entry to be anything but more of the same. These stories were exemplary, and I couldn't put my copy down until everything was all gone (I read an ebook version purchased from Amazon, using Kindle on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7). Highly recommended for meeting and exceeding the nutritional requirements of military science fiction appetites of all sorts. Delicious!

A nice anthology

A nice harkening back to old school sci-fi anthologies.
While theres some errors or writing habits that don't do a good job here and there I found the stories interesting and overall fun.
The quality of the writing did vary but overall it was pretty good, biggest thing I could suggest to the authors is to study actual military operations and get to know military personnel before writing them further.
While fun the characters played more as made for tv type of soldiers than anything realistic.

Overall its a solid fun time, just don't expect Shakespeare. I do recommend it.

Just look at that cover. Seriously. LOOK AT THAT COVER! You should go into this knowing that you're going to get exactly what you expect. Hard-core military types (mostly) disposing of abhorrent beasties out for human blood. This book is so much fun. Highly literary art? Nope. Guilty fun? Absolutely.
