Absolutely loved this book. My only complaint was that it was too short - I just wasn't ready to leave the Book of Deacon world! I'm so happy that Ivy is not on her own, and to 'almost' learn what became of Sorrel. Love how Ether is gaining in complexity, and Myranda and Deacon - well thats just super satisfying. Bring on the next addition to the series, it honestly cannot come too soon for me. Might just have to re-read the others in the meantime.
Lallo provides a another installment in the Book of Deacon series that is a winner. The start is a bit slow and at times cumbersome, but perseverance pays off for the reader. Characters are deepened even more as the storyline expands to new lands and reignites old memories.
An entertaining and intriguing addition to The Book of Deacon Series. It was good to have our favourite characters back. As always, I especially enjoyed the development of Ether and Ivy, their characters growing and adapting to peoples and cultures that are alien to them. Loved the dragons, of course! It could have been a longer read but we're well set up for the next part of this saga, which I await with delicious anticipation!
Another great addition to the Book of Deacon series. No spoilers but it is a side story which takes place right after the Great War. Again very well written and helps to tie up more loose ends to Desmeres who disapeared during the end of Trilogy. Definately add this to your Deacon library.
Yet again I am blown away by how easily the world around me disappears when I read a book from this author. I have read every book from the Deacon series and this was just as awesome as the others. I don't care if I am flat broke and can scarcely afford food in my fridge or gas in my car.. I will always be able to afford a book from this series... It's THAT worth it!
I loved The Book of Deacon series and was delighted to learn that is is continuing!! This book will stand on it's own, but it's even better if you've read the series. The characters are engaging and the plot draws you in.
