I am familiar with Carl Seville's writing as the "Green Curmudgeon" at GreenBuildingAdvisor.com, appreciate his practiced pragmatism, and was excited to learn he (and co-author Abe Kruger) had authored a book. Even so, I sweated over the price tag for a few days before pulling the trigger. Man, was it worth it and then some.
The book arrived a couple weeks ago, and I'm still pouring through it. Want some thoughtful insight on AAC? Check. Need more info on xeriscaping and drought tolerant plants? Check. Tips for avoiding phantom loads? Check. Detailed illustrations clearly describing extreme advanced faming techniques? Check. It's all here, including an excellent index and a thorough glossary. Highly recommended for the architect, the builder, the remodeler, and the student.
