Mastering the Virgin: Box Set One contains the first 4 books of this series - Friends, Partners, Allies, and Comrades. This series continues the story of Charlotte, James, and Michael and is a spin-off from Buying the Virgin. Be warned that you have to read this series in order, otherwise it will not make sense to you. There are also a number of other sister/spin-off series about these three and eventually their family. If you love hot BDSM then there is a lot of the steamy hot stuff in these books. But there is also more as the relationship between the three develops along with the lives of each character, both within and outside of their relationship.

Buying a virgin to share

The first set of four books that are continued in other sets. The story of James, Michael and Charlotte and their forays into BDSM. The scenes are nice and hot, so this makes us continue reading. Since there are other books in the series, you don't get the complete story, but this can also serve as a stand alone. I received a review copy of this title.

Sizzling read. I enjoy reading books of this genre however I found this book boring. The wording was awkward and what plot there was just seemed to drag on. The only reason I finished reading this book is because I received an Advanced Readers Copy for free in exchange for an honest review and I felt to leave an honest review I needed to complete the book.

Though the premise was interesting at first, it soured on me quickly. The varying point of view was annoying, and the characters didn't seem realistic. The lack of respect for a safe word is what made me stop reading after the first installment of the set. I received this as an ARC, and voluntarily left this review.

Wasn’t feeling it

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I thought the first book to the box set was ok. By the second book I couldn’t take James repeating everything he said out loud to himself. I think I read a chapter into the third book when I decided that I couldn’t read anymore. One of the main things I look for in a book is the chemistry between characters and I felt nothing between the three of them. I felt more between the first person Micheal and James shared in the club then I felt between them and Charlotte. Also the time frames in the first and second book had me a little confused.

I volumi che compongono il box non sono autoconclusivi: ogni volume introduce una situazione salvo poi rimandarne lo sviluppo al volume successivo. Ma non è questo il peggio: i personaggi sono tratteggiati in modo grossolano, le pseudo scene BDSM sono ridicole e sempre uguali, le situazioni grottesche. Morale: ho letto il primo volume, tentato di dare una possibilità all'evolversi della "storia" proseguendo con il secondo, ma al terzo la noia ha prevalso.
