Does Not Hit the Mark for Me
Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2020
I am a big fan of Gregg Braden and have read most of his books. But this one, what a big disappointment.
The structure of the book is good, there you can see the right intentions. But the selection of prayers - what a disappointment. Gregg Braden knows that humans were created 200,000 yrs ago, that the bible was heavily censored. But he selects as one of the prayers the Lord's Prayer.
I was expecting that Gregg, based on all his historical knowledge, science and how a true prayer is formed and delivered, would provide us new, meaningful prayers. Especially when the book is published in the middle of a world-wide pandemic. Even if typesetting couldn't be changed, I expected an insert of a prayer addressing our current situation. Instead we are presented with a selection of prayers from all religions.
Everything we humans have done so far has not helped very much. We are not using the right tools. I want to be lifted up to where we have not been yet. This book does not deliver that.
This book is a big disappointment. It feels it had to be written to meet a deadline and to create income. For once I wish I could get my money back.
