Great Series!! I purchased Books 1-8, for an 8-year old...she absolutely loves them. She enjoys reading, and since she is required to read 30-minutes every night for school, the chapter books come in very handy. She often finds herself reading more than 30-minutes, because she wants to finish a certain chapter, etc. The stories are great, fun, interesting, the illustrations are okay. She looks forward to following the main characters throughout the different series. Also worth mentioning, is the "activity" page within the books; they are projects that can be done later if interested, and if you enjoy doing some craft with your little ones every once in a while, it's a nice addition (sometimes she wants to do them...thankfully not always). Highly recommend the books, and will definitely be purchasing additional series.
Case of the Sneaky Snowman (Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew #5)
I am the Grandma who not only encourages my grandchildren to read, but I also make sure to provide them with new reading material on a regular basis. I was unaware of this new series of Nancy Drew books for the younger girls but found them to be just perfect for two little girls on my list who have recently started reading chapter books. The illustrations are age appropriate and appealing. I've purchased #1 - #5 and will be purchasing a few more for the next gift giving occasion.
Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew are my kids favorite read aloud books. They are ages 6, 8, and 10. It keeps their interest, keeps them guessing and they don't ever want me to stop at the end of each chapter. If we had time to read them all in one setting we would!
I bought several of the contemporary Nancy Drew books for my grand daughter, who is 9. She loved them so much that she asked her mother to take her to the library so she could read more. The newer ones are great for today's girls as they relate to what their world is comprised of.
Got this for our daughter #4. She's nine. It is a good book for a quick read. She likes books like this and the A-Z mysteries. I like them too. They keep you interested enough for together time, and keeps her interested in reading. On to number 6, and number 7, etc
