To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
As with the "Lion and the Lily" by Peter Landry, he uses a chronological format sometimes jumping ahead and others times repeating the past. He incorporates letters and notes from actual people of the times which for me gives a better feeling on how they communicated and felt. Though his writing style is different from what I'm used to, he brings the context to life making an interested read for me. If you want to learn about Acadia's history and its people, "The Lion and the Lily" and "Settlement, Revolution & War" are both excellent additions to anyone's personal library.
