How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsVery sensual

Steamy like the jungle it takes place in. I really liked it. Linc was just crazy for her and I liked the ending.

However, I seem to remember her friends Jenny and Cage from another of her books. Now that I have read this book I would like to reread Jenny and Cage's story. Can anyone help me with the name of that book? I am sure it is in my kindle, but I have too many Sandra Brown Kindle books to go through them all.

3.0 out of 5 starsEntertaining but too long

I really like Sandra Brown stories, but after listening to about a dozen of her audio books, I am learning that some of her stories drag on a little too long, and she keeps rolling the same “scene” over and over with slight variations. This story was guilty of that but not so much that I didn’t want to finish it and enjoy it along the way!

It was a little like her Harlequin books. Not what I am use to from Sandra Brown.

Interesting and held your interest for the whole book I don’t care to answer all these questions about the books I enjoy reading them and that should be sufficient.

Desmond Chan
3.0 out of 5 stars Quick dash of romance that is scintillating and sexy
Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2001
The Devil's Own unites Kerry Bishop - a woman sent on a mission to the beleaguered jungle in Montenegro engulfed in flames of war to save the children and bringing them safely to America to their adoptive parents, and Lincoln O' Neal - a flawed and embittered photojournalist.
Sandra Brown wrote this book under the pseundonym of Erin St. Clare and as one of her dated works, it offers romance that is scintillating and sensuous with full-fledged emotions. However, the storyline stretches too far to be credible. It is naivete that a photograph could save them from being harmed by the guerillas; and immensely funny that Linc couldn't see through the deception of her tag as a nun. The Devil's Own is not quite as devilish as it seems but for a quick read - it is perfect.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not that great, but not bad..
Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2003
I think reprints are humorous to a point. It shows you how the author started out as a new/young writer. This quick read was okay, even though it was pretty predictable. SB is like any other writer, she comes up with some good ideas for a story plot at times, and at times she doesn't. I read this story through in one day and I liked Linc a great deal. Brown has a sense of wit that always comes through in her characters. I agree the plot was a little far-fetched, but it's only fiction. I'd recommend this book as a quick romance read.
