Has Max FINALLY Grown Up??...
Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2020
Well, this book was certainly an improvement over the last one! Max was starting to get reckless and irresponsible, and I was losing my patience with her. In this book, she seems to have grown up a bit and realized that there are many other people around her that she's responsible for.
I loved the addition of the new Trainees. They bring a fresh outlook on the series and they force Max to take her job a little more seriously.
It's starting to get difficult to remember which jumps happened in which books at this point, but the highlights of this story were definitely Joan of Arc (as incredibly disturbing as it was), the baby mammoth (the bathroom scene with Leon was just hilarious) and of course, Dick the Turd.
After a quick run-through of the next mini-story, it's on to Book 7! Hopefully, Max can keep up her momentum of acting like an adult, but unfortunately, after reading the synopsis and a handful of reviews, I don't have very high hopes.
