I held my breath from the first word to the last!

This book was a thriller from start to finish. I was captivated by the very first word and I held my breath until the last. I'm not going to recap the book for you but I will say you will love Kassidy, the main character, along with her other colleagues at the BAU. In another life, I would've loved to work as an investigator in the BAU. Everything they do just fascinates me. I think that's one reason I enjoyed it so much. Another reason is because of the author's writing. Lisa Regan has a great way at depicting scenes, people, and even dialogue. I could see everything in my mind's eye as real as if it had been a movie. Here's just one example of her descriptions that I particularly liked, "Nothing but this old woman, her shoulders beginning to round, betraying the first hint of a dowager's hump." Taken out of context, it might not sound like much, but Regan has a way of making all of her characters real. This was the first book I've read by Regan, and I can tell you that it's not the last. I just finished her second book, Finding Claire Fletcher, and even though I didn't think it was possible, her second book was even better than her first. She's one author to keep an eye on!!
