To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought this book for my 5 year old in preparation for kindergarten. It's great. Most counting books go only up to 10, or 20 if you're lucky. and so many are so very boring. This holds my kid's (and my!) attention. We go through it almost every night at dinner. LO is learning about various cool things at the Smithsonian, and can now count to over 100 without any help. I credit this book to that. Plus, now we know that a "conch" is pronounced "konk" and is edible (you know, in case we're stranded on a desert island). And, when the book says that a particular button is 100 years old, and my kid is 5, LO has a sense of really how old that is. I am now told that I have to like a particular type of shell because that's how old I am. And the book starts with 0 ("that means no buttons"). How many counting books start with zero?!? I could not be happier.
Our boy is 2 1/2. We realized that he is a bit advanced and was getting bored with beginner 1-10 or 1-20 books. My husband made me search for a book that really counts from 1-100 and I’m so glad I found this book and purchased it. My boy loves it as you can see. Every page has interesting objects, the pictures are good quality and the board book material is also a bonus for this age.
This book is a great tool to teach counting. I especially like how each individual item is numbered....provides a great visual for a young child. Not a fan of the fun facts listed on each page....I feel they are aimed at an older age than the target audience for a counting book which is 3-5 years old. Could be better.
