Started losing interest.....
Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2019
I purchased this book to add to my ever growing Jade Summer collection, but was rather disappointed when I received it, but not for really obvious reasons.
The paper quality is of the usual value that I have come to expect with the Jade Summer books - not top quality, but not really awful either. I'm pretty sure they use the CreateSpace paper, which a few brands of coloring books use - most people dislike it, but paper isn't a huge deal breaker for me when deciding on a coloring book, UNLESS it is really terrible.
It is the usual set up for the Jade Summer books also; two of each image, which I also like because if I am not making a complete mess of a page and needing a second copy, I like to often have a "master copy" to keep, just in case I feel inspired to have another go at creating the same page again, but in a different way.
Here's where I started losing interest though. The artwork, while clearly drawn, is probably more suitable for older children, or those who have trouble with seeing fine, detailed images. The images are large and have plenty of space to color in, so for those who are looking for detailed marine life, or even moderately detailed marine life, this is probably not the book to purchase. Compared to the other Jade Summer books, this one does indeed seem almost childish, dare I say? I donated my copy, and will be extra careful will every purchase I make from now on.
