5.0 out of 5 starsJ Kenner writes amazing books that make you never want to put the book down

I can’t say it enough...Julie Kenner is awesome and writes very good romance books. I found her by an amazon e-mail for a recommendation after reading other romance series of books. I am not disappointed at all.

There were two things that I thought were confusing.

One, is the order in which to read them. There’s the Nikki/Damian, Jamie/Ryan, Sylvia/Jackson, and other individuals books, etc, but how do you know what order to read them in. I first went to J Kenner’s website and took screen shots of all of her romance series books. I read all of Nikki/Damian. After reading all of them, I went to Jamie/Ryan and came to realize that those two books were suppose to go in order with Nikki/Damian. This could be false, but in the start of one of Nikki/Damian books, it talks about Jamie/Ryan’s wedding. So I was confused when I first read that whole series. So after starting the Nikki/Damian Series over again, I took the numbers from Nikki/Damian and Jamie/Ryan and put them in numerical order. I am in the middle of that. I took a pause in half way through the series to see if the Sylvia/Jackson had to somewhat be intertwined like Jamie/Ryan. When reading one book of Nikki/Damian series, it starts talking about Sylvia and Jackson and mentions that Jackson is Damian’s half-brother and I was confused because I never remember reading anything abaout Jackson besides the fact that he turned down Damian when they were away at a resort for the weekend when they were at the buffet. I think where I was confused when was the one book was talking about Valentine’s Day and the scavenger hunt that Damian did for Nikkie. Then, there little romantic get a way for the romantic holiday, running into Jackson and then the next book is Christmas time and Sylvia and Jackson are spending Christmas with them in the mountain house.

Since I am honestly confused, I went to J Kenner’s website and found an option for “contact us”. I sent them an e-mail on March 14th and today is March 24th and I haven’t heard back. They did mention that they get a lot of incoming e-mails so to please be patient, but I didn’t think it would take this long to get a response.

I know this sounds crazy, but I am OCD and was trying to figure all these books out by myself. With the screen shots that I took, I literally used an app that would allow me to write the date all of the books came out on the picture. It did take forever, but it seemed to help a little. Because of that, I found out that the two books of Jamie/Ryan do go in order with the Nikki/Damian series. If you look at the numbers of each book, you can see they go in order. The dates also match up, but you wouldn’t know that if you didn’t create a new picture with the dates they were released.

The second part that I am confused on, is why there are so many books in the Nikki/Damian series. I understand that the main books, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are the main books, which has more in the book, but why can’t she take the odd number between the main books and combine into bigger books. I think the main books were $7.99 or $9.99, but the smaller ones were $2.99. I feel like that was a rip off because there 11 books in the Nikki/Damian series that are smaller books.

I guess if I hear back from the company that they would better help me to understand, but that’s all I can hope for.

I love the way all of the series are written. Nikki/Damian, Jamie/Ryan and Sylvia/Jackson. Most romance series are similar, but have a little bit of difference. I feel like J Kenner’s series have so much sex. I can’t imagine that in real life. I love the fact that there is someone always going after them and then the papparazzi are always after them. As horrible as that would be in real life, these books keep you interested and makes you excited for the next book.

If I do end up hearing back from J Kenner, I will edit my review.

I love me some Nikki and Damian, but they both annoyed me in this book. I'll start with Nikki. She was a hot mess throughout this book. She whined, she had no backbone, and she was all over the place. I completely get the pregnancy and raging hormones, but her actions were just annoying and unnecessary. Then there's Damian. He was the same alpha male, but yet he kept his secrets. He lied so much throughout the book to Nikki that it was a pain to read at times. I wished he would just be upfront with her. He trusted everyone around him with his secrets, but his own wife! While Nikki was a hot mess he contributed to her behavior by keeping her in the dark. Also, I don't like his relationship with Sophia. She tried to break them up and threatened to expose his secret and yet he wants to give her the benefit of the doubt. I have a feeling his relationship with Sophia will annoying me further in the next book. I hope Nikki grows a pair of you know what and put Damian in his place. Anchor Me will make you smile, laugh, question motives, question trust, challenge your strengths and tempt your weaknesses and make you cry. it is uplifting, euphoric and engaging. Multi-billionaire, Damien Stark, man of Nikki Fairchild's universe is willing to move heaven and earth for the woman he adores and worships and Nikki will always trust her man even at the risk of the past.

As they arrive in Dallas Nikki is confronted with her demons. Nikki panics, faints only to find out she is pregnant. She senses there are things he is not telling her because of her fears and recent fainting only to find out that two of the women in their past who have tried to break them apart are back....while Damien works to question their motives so is Nikki who is also dealing with her mother lurking in the shadows... together they will win these trials and tribulations. at the risk of life.... yet when it is unexpected love wins for Nikki and Damien....because he Will always be there to Catch her! Spoilers below!
I finished this book yesterday and reflected all night what to place in the review! I read some reviews that complained about Nikki whining and crying too much! From my perspective her responses where dead on correct!
Damien and Nikki are larger than life celebrities who are seriously flawed from unimaginable childhood abuse! It's part of who they are! "Kindred Spirits" as the author declared! Their love life is essential for safety, control and support! While some readers may find their adventurous tastes as scintilating, I think they are extremely normal and loving. It's not BMSD! Sensual depravation, delayed gratification, sensual spanking and swating are normal and brilliant. I loved them all personally! That's how you keep the excitement in whatever room your using! Very mainstream and tender!
The devastating and emotionally psychological toll on Nikki from her crippling miscarriage was handled superbly by J Kenner! I experinced the fears, negativity and hopeless like Nikki because I have experience with Mullarian Defect! 5 miscarriages and 3 children later was an emotional rollarcoaster! I only mention my personal journey to acknowledge the insightfullness of the author! Yes, I sobbed throughout the story but it was also cathartic and healing!
I loved the growing circle of friends, collegues and employees who became family to me as a reader. All families experience, drama, hurt feelings, jealousies and betrayals! We don't chose our parents and Nikki's mother is the "wicked witch" of the Texas and Damiens father is a monster! Still, we all bear our crosses (not to sound cavalier).
Finally, I mention that a marriage demands trust, honesty and open communication! Yes Damien is trying to protext Nikki, but at the betrayal of honesty. It's easier to avoid jealousy and unpleasant "talks" but at what cost? It seems very self serving and dishonest and thats not okay with me! Yes, little white lies can be rationalized easily, but they are still lies! Damien has more growing to do, but don't we all?
In no way is this a criticism of J Kenner, but really a declaration of her talent! She has captured all that vitrol and woven human flaws and warts brilliantly into a masterpiece of literature! I love these books and I'm ready to go now and start reading #5 Lost With Me! gotta go, thanks for hanging!

Anchor Me (Stark Trilogy #4) by J Kenner
4.5 stars!!!

“…trust isn’t a panacea any more than it’s a curtain to hide behind.”

Damien and Nikki have been a couple I have avidly followed for nearly four years. From the very first book these two have cemented themselves as one of my favourite book couples and the adversity that these two have faced would have crippled many a relationship. Damien and Nikki however, alone are vulnerable but together are impenetrable and Anchor Me cements that relationship between them. These two are truly formidable, and while J Kenner still gives them a few curveballs in this book, as ever, these two pull together.

“…there are ghosts everywhere. And we’re both going to have to get used to fighting them.”

I really do not want to go into anything that this book covers, because it would literally ruin the experience for you the reader, however, this book is a testament to the power of being married to your soul mate, to the one that truly understands you and loves you, the positives, the negatives and the flaws. The power of love should never be underestimated and these two prove that theory in every single way. Damien and Nikki are each other’s rocks, they are there in times of trouble and times of intense passion, but whether they are in or out of their sheets, their connection is palpable and their love for one and other radiates from each single page.

J Kenner has brought this couple to life and the character connection that I have to these two holds no bounds and that is testament to J Kenner’s writing ability. This was the book that I had begged and pleaded for, a book that I desperately wanted to read because if any couple deserved completion, it was these two and this book does just that. Demons put to bed, loose ends tied up and one happy couple.

“I don’t like it when there’s a chasm between us.”
“Neither do I, baby. But there’s always a bridge.”

This book was emotional, yes, I did shed a few tears, but that emotion is borne from my intense connection to this couple, when they hurt, I hurt. While this book did not have as much drama as usually follows this couple around, the drama they come into contact with is emotionally draining, both for them and me the reader. It is these scenes that I have to kudos to J Kenner for, these scenes were depicted to perfection, each page compelling.

“Love isn’t reliance, baby…The truth is, you can stand on your own. But you choose to stand with me.”

My only complaint was that I did feel that the ending was a little rushed, maybe that is just me wanting to cling onto this couple for longer, but for pivotal moments I wanted them explored and elaborated a little bit more. We do have another novella to look forward to though, so this is not the end for these two. Hold Me releases in May and I for one, cannot wait.

Nikki and Damien are an amazing, combustible and unpredictable couple. As they settle into married life and their careers, they find that targets are still on them as people are jealous of their success. Nikki has to face demons of her past as she makes a move for a new contract in Dallas pushing her to face all the ghosts and thoughts that haunt her. Excitement happens for them as well. Their chemistry is combustible with every sexy and erotic moment between them. I love that we get to interact with their circle of friends to see how their lives are progressing as well as to see how important they are in Nikki and Damien’s life. I feel like I am visiting old friends each time I get to dive back into the Stark universe.

I will never ever get tired of reading about anything having to do with Damien Stark and Nikki Fairchild Stark. They are one of my all time favorite couples and I read everything that J. Kenner releases having to do with them. It seems I can never get enough. Anchor Me is a beautiful emotional read. If you have never read the Stark Trilogy then stop everything you are doing and one-click the three books and read them now. Anchor Me is the fourth book in the Stark Trilogy and will not be as enjoyable if you have not read at least those books prior to reading this one in my opinion. If you are able to read the novellas that J. Kenner has released involving Damien and Nikki then also one-click those because you will become addicted like the rest of us. The sex is so off the charts hot and scorching, and reminds us of the unbelievably deep emotional love and connection between Damien and Nikki The story that is Anchor Me is as always compelling and one of depth and one I never want to put down. I do not want to give away any spoilers because those of us who love Damien and Nikki know how much we crave any books about them and want you to be able to experience what happens as you read. Anchor Me is a MUST read for any Damien and Nikki fan whether you are just reading the Stark Trilogy for the first time or you are like me and enjoy re-reading all things Damien and Nikki.

I so love this series. I have read every book and novella that Ms. K Jenner has ever wrote that involves Nikki and Damien. I know there's more to come with the Wicked series and more novellas of Nikki and Damien.

The story continues as Nikki deals with her past (mainly her mother and her hometown) as she gets a big contract that would put her company "on the map". Damien is very supportive of his wife and what she is trying to do to grow her company and helps as much as he cans. The past is never too far for these 2 people though so they continue to deal with people from their past and things that were done to Nikki and Damien. A surprise knots the 2 lovebirds of their stride initially but they both embrace the change that will be happening in their lives. However tragedy strikes and both Damien and Nikki has to learn how to deal with it. Initially, Damien tries to help Nikki deal with the tragedy but Damien really doesn't know how to handle it himself. They finally realize that they both have to deal with it TOGETHER instead of individually!

Some of the past issues and concerns are addressed and dealt with so that both Damien and Nikki can continue to move on without worry about it. They have their happily ever after for now but I am looking forward to reading more about what is happening in their lives!

Ahhh-mazing!! I can't ever seem to get enough of Damien & Nikki Stark! They are one of my all time favorite book couples!! J. Kenner, you just get me every time with them. As usual through your incredible ability to bring these characters to life, you allow them to shine so you shine too.

I feel like this story in particular brings Damien & Nikki closer than ever before, if that was even possible. Even though they go through such incredible pain and sadness, at the end of it all, they are so incredibly happy. This is the way they thrive and how we love to see our beloved Damien & Nikki.

Fantastic addition to their story. I look forward to more of their incredible love story in the future.
