5.0 out of 5 stars“Life’s too short to hold the important things in.”

This Love in Bloom series has gotten so vast and has so many subseries that it can be a little daunting. But have no worries if you’re not up to speed on every character. This talented wordsmith does an excellent job of making sure each romance stands alone, with just enough information about the other characters that you don’t feel like you’ve missed something vital, yet it whets your appetite so you'll want to know more about them and read their stories, too.

All of Jax Braden's siblings are ridiculously successful, and he's no exception, owning a bridal gown design business for the rich and famous. He has yet to find the love of his life, but when Jordan Lawler walks into his shop, he knows she's the one. Except she’s there to get her own wedding dress designed for her upcoming wedding. To her fiancé. Jax's “the one” belongs to someone else.

Forced into a decidedly off-limits scenario, Jax and Jordan become friends. As Jax helps and supports Jordan, the doubts she has about her own relationship become magnified. Add in some unresolved issues from her past that weigh heavily on Jordan, and she has some major decisions to make.

Some writers would take this scenario and jump right into a physical relationship between the MCs, but Foster took the more challenging road. The relationship between Jax and Jordan may have some unrequited lust, but it’s built on friendship, admiration and support, which I love. There’s no doubt that whatever these two are building is something strong and unshakeable that will last forever. It's the kind of love every girl dreams of and it is glorious! The deep emotion is profound, and their connection is exquisitely beautiful.

For a full-of-feels, smile-inducing, fill-your-heart-to-bursting phenomenal read, look no further. Life is too short to read lousy romance, so fill your time with this fantastic, fulfilling, reading escape. Your romantic heart will thank you with a great big happy sigh!

3.0 out of 5 starsHard for me to rate this story

Usually I’m a fan of the Braden’s. I truly did not click at all with the characters until 50% of the book. Jordan was so timid and childish at times talking so much about the past (granted it was traumatic) I could not connect with her character. Jax was always charming, sensitive and bit pushy in the beginning. He truly loved her. Once Jordan broke up with her fiancé it seemed the story finally got better and started to sync up. So much time on Jordan and her fiancé that it took up too much time then it was all rushed with their relationship then finding her sister. It felt backwards in there could have been so much going with that instead of the darn wishy washy stuff in beginning of book. Not one of my favorites of the Braden for me. Of course Sully story will be in another book but it was too abrupt and end in this one.

I have been waiting for Jax’s book and it did not disappoint!! Melissa always gives the best stories and Jax and Jordan are amazing.

Jordan has not had it easy in her life. Tragedy in her past has shaped who she is today and after postponing her upcoming wedding four times already she knows it is time to let go of the past and move forward with her finance. Except it just doesn’t feel right. She can’t figure out why, but it might be that they don’t live in the same city. When she meets famous wedding dress designer, Jax Braden, she knows the time is now.

Jax has never felt the connection with anyone that he does with Jordan, but he knows she is off limits. He would never get tangled up in something with a bride, so he steps away. When she needs a dress and quickly he offers his services to make her dreams come true. As they take time to chat about designs and their lives they both find that there is so much to the other. When fate steps in, are these two ready for what lies ahead?

This book has our typical Foster love, but with a couple truly amazing twists. Everything isn’t as simple as it seems and I love that we get to witness how both Jordan and Jax are there to help each other through the challenges. The support they lend the other is beautiful and you know that their friendship is true. I love that we get to see all the Braden’s again with their loves as well as spending time with Jax’s parents. Anyone who reads a Melissa Foster book knows that she doesn’t support or write cheating of any kind and I know someone will ask since she is a bride. I promise that isn’t Melissa’s style. The love that shines through these two is incredible and we are given the perfect set up for Melissa’s next book.

Melissa's blown me away once again by telling the story of how real love can change everything when it comes into your life. It can give you strength, raise you up, and empower you.
This is a story about finding your inner strength with the help of someone who will always put you first.

Jordan is about to get married, but something feels off. She can't quite put her finger on it. Maybe it's because her fiancé never has time for her. He's taken her for granted, but she can't see it - until Jax.
Jax has never felt a connection as strong as he did when he first met Jordan months before, but she belongs to someone else. Still, he can't deny what he's feeling deep inside, and he knows it may end in hurt for him.
What will it take for Jordan to see what's standing right in front of her?

I loved them separately, and I absolutely loved them together. I loved how their relationship grew, forming the sort of friendship that is long-lasting, and laying the foundation for the kind of love that will never let go. They will always be there for each other.

Jordan thought she was asking for too much until along came love in the shape of a man who can't see anything else but her. Nor would he ever want to. Whatever she needs, whatever she wants, he'll always be there.

Melissa Foster really knows how to write emotional stories and uplifting stories. Jax Braden is a world reknown wedding dress designer. He met Jordan when she came to him to design her wedding dress. They had electricity from the very first meeting even though she was engaged to another man. Jax knows she's the one for him but he's not going to do anything to break them up. He pays attention to Jordan and does little things to make sure that she knows he's thinking about her. He tries to agree not to flirt but it's very hard for him. As Jordan sees what she's missing from her fiance, she is drawn to Jax more than she wants to be. There is no cheating in this relationship. As a side story, Jordan has been searching for proof that her sister is still alive even though she's been missing since she was 4 years old. Jax pays for an investigator to find information about her sister and whether she might still be alive. I really like this story and how Jax and Jordan's relationship evolves. Without giving spoilers away, we get a preview of at least two more books. I'm really looking forward to them, too. I received an early copy to read and review. This is my honest review.

Then Came Love is such a swoon worthy read. Jax is just the most swoon worthy Braden yet. I love him so much. You feel his passion and his love for not only fashion but for Jordan too. Jordan is confused, engaged to another man, searching for answers. She is a sweetheart who is afraid to get close, but she has a reason. Jax and Jordan have this beautiful chemistry that just builds and builds to this wonderful passion. I feel in love with Jax and Jordan from the very start as they work together to design her perfect dress. Both have had some loss in their lives. But your heart aches for Jordan as she wonders what happened to her little sister. I love how supportive Jax is of Jordan. He lifts her up when she never realized she needed it. The passion between them is amazing as they go from the flirty friendzone to more. I am so in love with Jax and Jordan and all the feels that flow from the pages. You need to read this and see all our favorite Melissa Foster families all in one book. You need to meet Jax and Jordan today and let your heart be filled to the brim with love that flows between them.

5.0 out of 5 stars OMG Jax and Jordan I have no words

This story has all the feels. Laughter, sadness, love, family just everything. Jax Braden honestly no words are strong enough to describe him. A gentleman of gentlemen. The way he was with Jordan just melted your heart. Jordan's ex-fiance was the scrum of the earth. I can't write what I really want to say about him. I knew something wasn't right with him. Always cancelling on Jordan. So glad Jax being the Braden he is goes after and gets what he wants. I seriously can't wait for Jillian's story, but I'll tell you now, the most anticipated release will be For The Love of Whiskey: Cowboy Whiskey. Sully's story. But I want Jax's story to continue also, by proposing to Jordan. So I'm going to say something here and don't get mad, but I feel the ending left us with too many assumptions. Doesn't feel complete between Jax and Jordan. Yes we all assume they will get married but it felt a little like a cliffhanger. Just a little one. Based on the little blurb of Cowboy Whiskey I don't see it continuing there. Just saying.

I loved, loved Jax and Jordan’s swoony unexpected soul mates love story. It is a wonderful story filled with all the emotions, the connections and the love about finding your people and embracing your dreams. Jax Braden is a world renowned wedding dress designer. He is from a large, loving and supportive family. Jordan has dated the same man since college. They are engaged but live in separate states and love separate lives. Their wedding has been postponed 4 times. The most recent time was 8 months ago when Jordan met with Jax about designing her wedding gown and felt intense connection and attraction to him. When Jordan once again comes to Jax to design her dress, sparks continue to fly and their friendship deepens and expands. There is a lot of growth for Jordan as she examines her life choices and her self-designed small life while Jax gently, lovingly, and beautifully helped Jordan come out of her self-imposed prison and begin to shine. All of Melissa Foster’s books have a central theme of family - those we are born into and those we create - and beautiful heart squeezing love. This book is no exception, it is the embodiment of family and love. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, strong family and friendships, uber protective men, tragic back stories, and all the love. Expect to feel all the feelings. Expect to laugh, cry, swoon, gasp, and sigh. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I love the Bradens and the Montgomery families and I love when we see characters from other books in these new stories.

From page one of this great book, the chemistry, and sparks between Jax and Jordan were singeing the pages of my e-reader. Jax, in my personal opinion, is one of the most charismatic, swoony, charming, and romantic heroes this author has written and trust me she’s had some good heroes, but Jax is just a step above and even though they’re just friends and get their flirt on, Jax takes it to the next level. I appreciated that he kept the boundaries between them, as hard as that was, since she’s engaged but they definitely had the flirting down. As tragic as Jordan’s past is and unfortunately when she learns the truth about her fiancé, I liked that Jax was there as a true friend through it all. But once circumstances changed, it was game on. I loved meeting the residents that Jordan works with, all the family updates we found out about, I loved that Jax and Jordan both had the same crush growing up, and his ‘twin-talk’ with Jillian. I was excited yet cautious when Jordan got the news at the end of the book that she was waiting on and I totally loved that all the family was there for them and wanted to help with whatever they needed. I’m definitely curious to see where that story goes next. I would personally give this book, ten stars if I could. This author has some of the best quotes in her books and my favorite from this story is, “You should never be sorry for your feelings. It’s the one thing we have that’s truly ours.” Great book!

I need a hot, bridal gown designing, dirty-talking book boyfriend in my life! Cause wow Jax Braden...wow!

Ever since I binged the Bradens & Montgomery's last summer, I had been WAITINGGGGGG for Jax and Jordan's book! I fell for each and every Braden (and Montgomery) and knew that Jax would be no exception.

I love his immediate feelings for Jordan and the way he's never quite the same since their first encounter. He tries to keep things professional with the engaged beauty...sort of.

"I'm not flirting, I'm just stating facts."

Right. So you say!

And Jordan, sweet Jordan! Her story made me want to wrap her in a big hug! But I'll save that for Jax. I was rooting for her to ditch the d*ck for Jax the whole way! I wanted nothing more than for her to let Jax and the entire Braden brood into her life and when she finally did, it was the squeal heard 'round the world!

Then if that wasn't enough, it was as if Jordan got TWO HEAs!

I went from hot and bothered (whew!) to laughing hysterically (Hello Mr. Newman) to shedding a few (happy) tears with Jordan. And of course I swooned the whole way through. (*Might I suggest listening via audio? That voice...WOW) While this could almost be seen as a slow burn to some (it took them a minute y'all) their chemistry is so on fire that you don't even notice. Their thoughts alone kept me going!

*Sits back and (im)patiently waits for Jilly and Sully to catch the love.*

Jax Braden, world famous bridal dress designer, meets Jordan Lawler at a wedding reception and is instantly smitten. She's persuaded to hire him to design her wedding dress for a wedding that she's already postponed four times. He knows there's a line that can't be crossed but can't stop himself from wanting to get to know her better. She knows there's a line that can't be crossed but finds herself drawn to him to ease the loneliness she lives with daily. Stalemate. A sense of frustration and angst possessed me while reading this and no amount of eating ice cream seemed to make me feel better. They were connected in a way neither of them had ever experienced before and it takes a 20 year old mystery to finally bring them together in a common pursuit. It's a great read and one I think you'll have trouble putting down until the last chapter is finished.
