Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta series: I never read her books when they were first published, so I was excited to try this series now that I have more time to read & based on the reviews that I had read. I have to say that the first two books of her series read pretty well, however, they do show their age. Nothing wrong with this, but clearly, these are dated novels. I only mention this because to me the ebooks are overpriced based on how old they are- Amazon is asking a premium for novels that are decades old. Plus, I see that the Spanish ebk editions are all 6.99, & to me this is about what they are worth in English also. I hate price-gouging!!! I would like to read the series, but it won't be by the ebook version at the $10 a pop listed- outrageous price for books this old!!! Bring the price down so that more people can experience these books! Also, as far as Cornwell's writing goes, some of the passages were choppy & could have been written in a more seamless manner for better clarity. Good book, not spectular, & certainly not worth 9.99 each!!!
