I have about 400 albums from the 70's in solid record boxes that I have dragged around with me for 45 years. I purchased a new big boy preamp, amp, speakers and a top turntable, C-Sharp by EAT. Some of my old albums sound fantastic and some sound kind of flat. Tea for the Tillerman sounded very good, but since it was one of my favorite albums, I thought I would would give a new remastered vinyl from the analogue tapes 45 a shot. Incredible, just incredible. I've undated Dark Side of the Moon, Abbey Road, Harvest, ELO, Rumors on 33, and the sound is superb. Nothing compares to this beauty. I hope I can find a version of Kind of Blue, that would make me very happy.
