This grill lasted a few hours. This past weekend, I went camping in Orlando. The grill worked great at first when I laid it on top of my camp fire and used a light weight cooking pot on top of it. The weight of the pot and its food content were distributed evenly along the metal grate of this grill. There were no signs of bending or warping. Fast forward 8 hours later, the threads of the four corner support pieces were either coming off or failing. I have no idea but they were just not holding. Some of the metal grate sticks were lightly warped, except one piece near the center; It bent into a parabola. What happened? I have no idea but it was perfectly curved. I am going to make a guess that the metal material is just cheap. I am giving this product 1 stars because it just didn't last after one use. I had to throw it away because it was just not salvageable. I want to be fair with this review but I just lost out on $25.
Pros: In an emergency situation, you could use this to cook a meal or use it as a weapon to defend yourself. It has a nice weight to it. There are two sticks that have hooked ends that you could use as a back up holdown spike for your tent.
Cons: If you are backpacking and are one of those lightweight fanatics, this thing is a little heavy. I had to sacrifice a lot of things in my luggage because I was exceeding the 40 lb weight limit with my check-in bag.
