Older car - these work best
Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2017
If you have an older car with a flatter windshield, a conventional wiper will work far better than a beam style blade. These are the best conventional wipers out there, the blades last a long time before splitting. Wiping any debris like sap off the blades will make them last even longer.
Beam style blades sit very low on the windshield, and the tension of the metal that creates the curvature of these blades can't be one-size-fits-all. You'll notice beam blades won't touch the windshield at the end, especially on pickup trucks on the passenger side.
