Great Paper For A Great Price

I'm a graphic design student and work with a lot of printing, but paper costs were racking up for me. I decided to take a risk and buy some cheap paper for a publication project and I'm so glad I did. I've saved so much money and the paper is honestly beautiful. It's thin but doesn't feel flimsy and holds ink very well (I used a risograph printer so sometimes ink doesn't stay well yet this paper did amazingly). The orchid color is also just a very pleasant color which is a plus! I had people complimenting my paper and asking me where I got it from in class and they were shocked to hear it was just Hammermill. Really pleased with this paper, will definitely purchase again!

Damaged paper and open packaging

I ordered 4 packs of different colored paper, and every one of them had packaging that was ripped open.
The images included are just after opening the package and then taking out the paper from the box! The orchid paper was shifted off to the side of the box, and the cherry paper has several pages dented and marks on them.

Many of the sheets were damaged to the point of being unusable. Most are still usable, and those seem nice quality, but overall it's just not worth the headache to have to take a chance on whether or not the paper will arrive damaged or not in the future.
A smaller box could have solved this problem entirely!

Cream is yellow

I bullet journal with a Minimalism Art journal. It has light cream-colored paper that's exactly the same color as the paper in all my other journals and planners. It's a super common color which I consider the standard for "cream-colored paper." I ordered this paper to match it, so I could use it for planner inserts and lists and tape them in as needed without a messy look. Stark white paper looks bad in a cream colored journal.

This paper is pale yellow. I really dislike it. The weight and feel of the paper itself are good, and the paper wasn't destroyed in shipping (although the paper wrapper burst). But the color is stupid and there's no way to tell what it will actually look like. I spent a half hour or more agonizing over (and googling) whether I should get cream or ivory. Cream was the wrong choice apparently but I still don't know if I should try ivory. Why can't they show the colors? The color swatch for ivory looks like it's darker than the cream. I want off-white. That seems like a common and normal request.

Packaging was torn open with sheets damaged

The packaging was torn open at one end and sheets were spilling out and getting damaged and dirty - should probably have paid more attention to all the other reviewers complaining about the same issue, but I thought I would take a chance and hope for the best. Definitely NOT eCommerce friendly packaging! Packaging apart, the paper itself seems rather thin/sheer even for 20lb, at least for the ivory color. And yes, the ivory shade is very very similar to the color of a manila folder.

The paper seems fine, but when I opened the Amazon box the pack of paper was completely torn open already. I’m assuming it was a returned item, because they halfway attempted to tape it but then gave up apparently. Just a little irritating, since I have little kids who get giddy at the sight of an open fresh ream of paper, and it is a lot harder to store out of their reach without the in-tact packaging.

Paper color is great. Quality as expected. Packaging is awful. Maybe it had a particularly rough journey to me, but I would expect to be able to store the paper in the ream wrap without worrying about it tearing or breaking any time I need to move it. If I wasn't using this essentially as scrap paper to separate orders as I cut them, I would be returning it.

Great, color, good quality but, why oh why does Amazon pack these so badly that every ream is damaged in some way. Damaged pages cannot be used in printers.

The product is great. The packaging was terrible. It was shipped in a plastic bag which did not give the ream of paper any protection. The wrapper on the ream of paper was completely destroyed. About ten per cent of the sheets of paper were damaged. If it had been shipped in an appropriate size box it would not have been a problem.

I ordered twice and in both instances the paper packaging of the reams were open.
Purchased ivory color. Not very happy with it, but it will do. The quality is good... clean, smooth paper and thickness is just right. Unfortunately, the color is more yellow than expected.

I enjoy using Hammermill paper. They make a very good quality paper had a good price. I usually order in bulk. However, for this order I only needed a single ream of colored paper. Because of the poor packaging, the ream of paper split open during transit and loose paper was strewn about the box. Much of the paper was bent at the edges and cannot be used in my laser printer without jamming. The rest will have to go for crafts.

Product was fine - it’s hatd to mess up paper. However, the box it was shipped in - it’s regular Hammermill box - was insufficient protection for shipping. It was barely held together with tons of tape - almost impossible to get it to my work from home without having 5000 individual sheets of paper strewn everywhere. What a mess!
