4.0 out of 5 starsA SIN and a SHAME!

Bravo ~ Fantastic, Outstanding & Awesome story. Why is it so easy to tell a lie (first) as opposed to telling the truth from the very beginning? We sometime, and often time tend to hurt the ones we "claim" we love with lies and deceit, believing it will make things all right, or, just go away, when in fact, it just makes matters & situations that much worse. Why is it that we tend to (unintentionally) hurt the people we love, and profess to love unconditionally ~ I guess, it just goes to show us that we are all human and without blame or fault. I recommend that you read the book, you won't be disappointed.

NOTE:
I purchased the Audible version, I did not care for the narrator (Monalisa Wilson) at all, she seemed to rush through the story and showed no emotion whatsoever. Although the storyline was interesting, her reading was so bland & blough. Other than that, the story itself is good and teaches a valuable lesson.

Happy Reading.

2.0 out of 5 starsShocked, not awed
Reviewed in the United States ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ on December 24, 2006
Prior to reading this book I was a fan of Ms. Murray's, but this book has left me not wanting to read any more of her books, even though I love the concept of them and she emphasizes the true aspect of Christianity. The thing that will make me not want to read another book is the fact that her ending left too many questions unanswered unless/or if she is planning a sequel to this one, that would be the only acceptable thing, but even then she should have answered some questions.

The only thng that made me finish the book was the fact that when I first became saved I too was under the pressure and stress of being "Christian" according to society's and my family's standards, and I wanted to see how Jasmine would turn out in the end, but when she should have come clean yet again, she failed. And then the way we never found out if Mae Francis's views were changed was really what I was hoping for and ultimately denied the opportunity to find out about. I am TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful realistic characters, a great book

WOW! This was a great book. I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. I could not put it down. The ending was a little abrupt though, it just had me itching for more. From reading the prequel, Temptation , Jasmine has changed a lot since then. She is rough around the edges, but you can see that she is really trying to change her life for God. Her sister, Serena, is a blessing to her, trying to help her and give her a righteous judgement which Jasmine already knows in her spirit. Another thing about these characters is that you can imagine actually talking to them one by one. How would you react to them, if you knew them? Anyway, it was a pleasure reading this book and I just want to wish Victoria the best for writing such great books! Much love and God bless on your writing talents, I'm sure it would bless a lot of people like it blessed me.

This is also a good book by a Christian author, not really known but it also has some Caribbean flavor.

Jasmine is back and still hasn't learned her lesson from before. Even though in her own mind she has changed, she still has a long journey to go before she finally realizes what's done in the dark WILL come to the light, some how and some way.

Welcome back to Jasmine, the sexy woman who will have her way no matter the cost, after moving to NYC and getting settle she finally meets the man of her dream, but she can't seem to stay faithful and stop telling lies even though she knows he will except her the way she is if she learns to tell him the truth.

Through this action back book; readers will journey with Jasmine, family, and friends and learn what forgiveness is and what can happen when you let the Lord deal with Any and ALL situations.

I hope the authors gives us a part 3 because we were kinda left hanging at the end:(....LOL.

If you have not read temptation please do so before you read this book.

Happy readings!

5.0 out of 5 stars "EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!"

This book was excellent, and Ms. Christopher Murray is a great storyteller. Jasmine was something else in "Temptation", but this novel you kinda feel sorry for her. I "knew" Brian was up to no good. When he told Jefferson to lie and deny everything in "Temptation", I was suspicious. Now in this novel my suspicions are confirmed. I just "love" Hosea to death. He's so funny, witty, and down to earth. The part where he was snoring on the plane next to Jasmine was hilarious. I liked the "strong" character of Rev. Samuel Bush, the "unique" Mae Frances, and the "do the right thing" character of Malik. This book was excellent but there's still more to be told. Brian needs to know about his baby, and his wife Alexis...PERISH THE THOUGHT!!!! Malik should be in a relationship, the wives of his business partners J.T and Lamont need to know that their husbands are living foul, and will us readers ever know if Mae Frances FINALLY gave God a chance and went to church? This should be a continuing story.

Point Blank...The "Jasmine" series has me riveted, and "A Sin and A Shame" in particular. I could hardly wait to turn the next page to find out how Jasmine would lie her way out of one crisis after the next, after the next, after the next... Although you may be able to predict the very final pages of this book, one must still read on since it's so shocking and inconceivable (Hosea obviously has a bigger heart than I do...lol). I could hardly wait to pass it on for others to read and enjoy. This book was a great follow up to "Temptation" which I also enjoyed. Currently reading the third installment in the series "Lady Jasmine". I wouldn't change a thing about this book. Excellent read!

Well this book was picked frmy book club, i feel it was a decent pick. I don't think the ladies realized that it is in the middle of a series. It still was a pretty easy read and I had some laugh out loud moments. A tiny bit unrealistic but I would read the series just to see how she pulls out of her messes!

Ms. Murray has done it again with Jasmine. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, but definitely recommend you read "Temptation" before reading this; so that you will get a very close-up view of how devious Jasmine is. Victoria Christoper-Murray is an excellent author of Christian-fiction novels and never disappoints. Jasmine will make you want to slap her one minute and then feel sorry for her in another. Pick up your copy today and you will enjoy!

This woman (Jasmine) was conniving and sneaky, but for some reason, I found myself rooting for her. She is determined, a go getter and at the same time, has such a big heart. Jasmine is lot like many of us, we want love, the right man, a generous man, a kind man. we just have different ways of how to get all that. This book is a definite must read, I found myself waking up during the night, just to read a few more pages.

Jasmine is back and in full effect. Must admit that this novel gets off to a slow start, but trust me when I tell you that once you get started you will find this page turner one that you cannot put down. Oh, what a tangled web she weaves, but will she finally gets the happiness she desperately seeks?

Jasmine has worked my last nerve! Enjoyed this story by Mrs. Murray continuing the saga about Jasmine and all her sinful deeds. Her deceptions will eventually catch up to her, I hope. As more from Jasmine's past is revealed, it almost seems unbelievable that one person could be so screwed up. I pray that true redemption is in her future.
