Another disappointing Karon book. The first ninety pages are mundane repeating scenes from previous books . . . same characters doing the same things. Then there is a confusing section where it’s unclear what is going on. The next section is Father Tim being depressed about both his diabetes and the terrible thing that happened. The last fourth of the book finally gets interesting with new developments, and enough cliff hangers to make a person want to continue reading. But reading the ratings, it’s clear that the next book in the series is more of the same lack of plot. Either Karon has lost her touch or some other factor was at work. I will not buy another Karon book. Frustrating because the first four books in the series were so good.
