Top critical review
Early Roberts, Wished I'd skipped it.

You know from the beginning that it's not what it seems, so moving forward through the book gains you...not much. Because you know, readers are smart?
Roberts earlier work...needs work.
This wasn't mind-grabbing. This story didn't drag you in. Noah, as a character wasn't that interesting & neither was Olivia. Both, terribly boring. No one really cares about the many types of trees in the forest or their detailed descriptions either. We get it...the forest is lovely.
You knew the guy who supposedly did it...did not.
The one you guessed committed the crime probably did. Then, amazingly enough, you find out you were correct! Score!
Then, it's over and you're like "Gah! I could have read a much better book."
