To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Our 20-month-old granddaughter can't live without listening to Pat-a-cake as soon as she arrives at our house. She adores the songs, the variety and the children's voices when they join in. She is gradually absorbing more and more of the terrific tongue-twisters and and we often hear her trying out "Betty bought a bit of butter" when she's having her mid-morning rest. The kids on the CD are very talented, the songs and sounds are well chosen, and the entire prodution is successfully designed to inform, to stimulate the imagination, to help children's language development, and to give them pleasure. The other CDs in the series are almost equally good, and at thirty bob you couldn't do better!
We sing along to this with gusto - socks are taken off ready for the piggies who are going to market and other places, noises are clearly identified. Music and words are clear and simple. It's great for the car. And thankfully the songs are repeated often enough for both toddler to enjoy and Mum to remember/relearn the words.
I first bought the other BBC CD (Wheels on the Bus) for my son, who is now 7 months old. Since he loved it (listening to it at least 30 minutes every day), I decided to buy this CD. I wasn't disappointed, as he loves it as much as the first one. Several months on he hasn't got bored as I alternate the two CDs. As soon as the CDs start, a big smile is guaranteed without fail.
