Amazing glass-like, smooth surface!!

Super easy to apply! Make sure you wash your applicator (brush, etc.) straight away. As a demo, I applied to 1/2 of a rock that I knew was gorgeous when wet, but bland when dry (see picture). I’ve only applied one coat and the difference is striking! Dried very quickly within 30 minutes, with a smooth, hardened, glass-like surface! The large picture is a close up, top right picture shows the 1/2 line, and the bottom right picture is the untreated side. Amazing, yes?!?!?! 👍🏼

I did so much research and this product seemed amazing. But It completely destroyed the gift I made for someone. I spent weeks working on a gift some of my best art work and it was destroyed by this product. I read the instructions and watched lots of videos. I did exactly what was done in the videos and what the instructions said to do. At fist it looked so good, the gloss made the colors pop and it looked like it was going to be perfect. However, the next day I went to see if it was dry and there was cracks ALL OVER it, I cried. I apologized that the gift was destroyed and tried to contact to company in hopes it was a bad batch and others could be spared. However, I discovered that I am by far not the only one who had this happen and found some videos on how to attempted save the art after using this crap. It seems from what I watched that this product is a hit or miss and if its a miss your just out of luck more or less. Just don't risk it. don't buy it and get something else. PS: don't get the MP earthier, it just does not cover well and take like 40 days to be ready for use.

I used this gloss with BLIND TRUST because I’ve trusted the brand for so long with my art. The paints are amazing BUT the his horrible product was more of a pure disaster! Thick to an extreme, I used a “Full Bottle” to try to spread it an salvage my commission which was impossible to do!
I’m an artist, I have always used liquatex gloss which is great but I saw a video on DecoArt triple gloss and said “ DecoArt” is a great product the gloss must be great! NOT TRUE!
For acrylic flow it’s horribly thick and my client is rejecting the piece as he should It’s RUINED! I now have to redo at MY EXPENSES a work of art that turned our stunning before the gloss disaster! I don’t know whom will be responsible for this debacle but I’ll calling Amazon and DecoArt. I called DecoArt!

I worked very hard on this commission and this is just wrong!!! DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT TO GLOSS ART CANVAS!!!!!!!

Milky appearance, easily peels off hard surfaces

I used this stuff to seal glitter onto wine glasses. Big mistake.

The glaze is very milky, and after ONE extremely thin coat (I even tried to water it down a bit), my glitter lost ALL of its shine. I used masking tape to seal off portions of the glass in order to create crisp edges for patterns, and the glaze began to peel off with the tape, despite how carefully I maneuvered it.

I can also chip away and peel it with my fingernails. I absolutely HATE this stuff.

I know some people (in the reviews) have had luck with this. I decided to give it a try based on the positive reviews, but didn't expect it to be amazing (based on the negative reviews). I am one of the people who is going to end up on the negative side. This stuff left a weird/gross film all over my project. I ended up having to paint over it - and basically stack up the project with layers of paint to correct the damage that this DecoArt glaze created. I will just stick with the pricier stuff next time. I don't recommend this to anyone. Spend a few more dollars and get whatever you're familiar with and like already. The cost savings will potentially ruin your work :(

I paint rocks and some canvas all with acrylic paints. At first I thought I had done something wrong when I used it. What is happening is that every time the sealer encountered black paint it ran and ruined the entire painting. None of the other paint colors were affected. I ruined my first rock and was not happy so I tried again on a rock with no black paint and it worked great. I tried again with black paint, again it ran. I tried brushing it, pouring it on etc. I’m throwing the rest away and going back to resin. So if you buy it - test it first. I have no idea why it did that. Not going to ruin another painting.

Super short shelf life-difficult to use

Difficult to apply without getting bubbles. I was only successful using this on very small projects that didn't need more than one brush stroke. My jar is only 2 years sold and when I opened it to use it, it is totally solid in the jar-dried up!

There was dried glaze in two places at the bottom of the cap, essentially glueing the lid on. Also, the color was off. The glaze shows as white in every picture but this was beige. Finally, another reviewer said the manufacturer was dating the product yet this container had no dates. The only good part of this was the no-return return process with Amazon.

This crap never hardened fully even after a week. I ruined two items ! 30 bucks down the drain . I applied even coats and let cure. Then when I applied next items the triple thick started bubbling and never got super hard. I had to peel off the epoxy stuff three times and I finally gave up. Thumbs down!

I glazed over wood box that I had recently painted with Unicorn Paint. It was awful. I used a sponge on one side and it was really, really bad. I sanded and repainted that area. I re-glazed with a expensive brush just for glaze (soft bristles) and you could see every brush stroke. A week later stuff was still sticking to box. Never will use again. I had to buy another box.

Recently ordered this gloss glaze product along with some DAS modeling clay. When I received the product today I opened the package to find the gloss glaze and the DAS clay completely stuck together due to the gloss glaze lid being open and spilling. The sealant protection that’s suppose to be completely closed and sealed was half way open when I received it. Meaning this wasn’t a NEW product. Very disappointed. Now I have less product.
