Amazing glass-like, smooth surface!!

Super easy to apply! Make sure you wash your applicator (brush, etc.) straight away. As a demo, I applied to 1/2 of a rock that I knew was gorgeous when wet, but bland when dry (see picture). I’ve only applied one coat and the difference is striking! Dried very quickly within 30 minutes, with a smooth, hardened, glass-like surface! The large picture is a close up, top right picture shows the 1/2 line, and the bottom right picture is the untreated side. Amazing, yes?!?!?! 👍🏼

I did so much research and this product seemed amazing. But It completely destroyed the gift I made for someone. I spent weeks working on a gift some of my best art work and it was destroyed by this product. I read the instructions and watched lots of videos. I did exactly what was done in the videos and what the instructions said to do. At fist it looked so good, the gloss made the colors pop and it looked like it was going to be perfect. However, the next day I went to see if it was dry and there was cracks ALL OVER it, I cried. I apologized that the gift was destroyed and tried to contact to company in hopes it was a bad batch and others could be spared. However, I discovered that I am by far not the only one who had this happen and found some videos on how to attempted save the art after using this crap. It seems from what I watched that this product is a hit or miss and if its a miss your just out of luck more or less. Just don't risk it. don't buy it and get something else. PS: don't get the MP earthier, it just does not cover well and take like 40 days to be ready for use.

May come leaking

This product works well but when I got it it had leaked threw the lid and was stuck to the box. When I got it off the box the lid was stuck because what had leaked dried in the threads of the lid and down the side of the bottle. Took me a while to get it open and a lot of the product had leaked out so I didn’t get the full amount. But I didn’t have time to send it back before I needed what I got it for so I just used it anyways. Works well just wish it wouldn’t have been so messy.

I've used a lot of different glazes and glosses for my crafts and polymer clay creations. Triple thick is not my "go-to" product every time. It does give the creations a nice shine, ill admitt that. However ....You have to work fast with this as it begins to get tacky very fast(even when it dries I find it has a tacky feel). Drying time is also an issue. Even my small creations I've had to let dry for more than a 4 hours. Also...with it getting tacky....it leaves brush streaks. It also has an unpleasant odor about it. Not too strong....just chemical..but most glazes and glosses have a stink to them anyways. I use this mostly on undersides of projects that need to be protected to give it a glaze and where you don't have to look at it and streaks wont be seen . Also its priced very well...so that's a small plus.

Takes longer to dry than other similar products

For the most part, this is okay, but I did notice that it takes a bit longer to dry than other similar products, such as sax tru flow or sculpey. It also has a rather strong smell, so I would suggest working in an open space whilst using it or at the very least, leaving a window or door open. When it is dry, it looks comparable to other products and does a good job of sealing and protecting. You get quite a bit for the price you pay as well. Overall, it isn't bad, just a little different than what I was used to.

I have a love/hate relationship with this glaze. When I first started using it, it was great. It is head and shoulders above the Sculpey kind. This one is nice and shiny afterwards. However, it doesn't do too well in the heat. It was a 50/50 chance that my glazed pieces would grow tacky over time if the weather was very warm. Also, you can't keep it open too long (if you are glazing in bulk) because it will dry up and create a film on the top. I had to make sure to mix it around every few minutes to prevent this.

I bought 2 and when I went to open them they were both glued shut from leaking during shipping. I know DecoArt is a good product but I'm not sure they were brand new containers. The protected lid on the inside that is suppose to give it double protection was off containers.

We purchased the DecoArt Triple Thick Gloss Glaze upon reviewing a tutorial video on how to make a Glitter Stemmed Wine Glass. The Triple Thick was used to finish the stem of the glass off. It's purpose is to cover the glitter coats and to seal it. The finished product should be a glossy clear finish. Our glass stem is not really "Glossy" and the Triple Thick has cracked. We are not sure if the layer of Triple Thick was applied too thick or what went wrong.

It's OK But There's Better for Polymer Clay

As far as yellowing goes, I have not had a problem with that. It finishes clear and professional looking just like it says it will. My problem with this glaze is that I have been having problems with it cracking in the drying process. It is just a little frustrating when you make an item and go to glaze it and when it dries the glaze is cracked, it ruins the whole item. The worst part is, is that I don;t have an explanation as to why it cracks when it does. Sometimes my items turn out fine and sometimes they don't. I could have two exact items in the same conditions made at the same times and one crack while the other doesn't. I even tried letting my items bake and dry longer to avoid this issues and I still can not get it to be dependable. Another issue I have had with this item is the glaze always seems to stay sort of tacky. No it won't smear or rub off, it just seems tacky and will easily stick to paper, bubble wrap, or other glazed items, no matter how long it has dried for. My last issue with this product is that it is easier then others to damage. For example, I would not make a key chain with this sealant because the keys would scratch the product. If an item with this glaze is accidentally dropped on the floor I know there will be a mark on the item's glaze where is was dropped on. My summary of this item is this, it is ok for a small personal hobbyist, but if you are making items to sell or gift I would recommend using a Gloss Water-Based Polyurethane like Varathane. It is more durable, dependable, more scratch resistant, and about the same price.

Turns yellow

This stuff looks great when applied. Very glossy and beautiful. However, after a couple of months, i noticed the gloss on one of my pieces has bunched up, and turned slightly yellow. Not sure i would recommend this to anyone.

Jar leaked.

The product it self was great but the shipping was bad. The jar was leaking product when I opened the package. It needs to be sealed better and put in a plastic bag by itself. Amazon was to much in a hurry with this shipment.

Bought this based on a DIY article I read. It is definitely THICK. I thought it was lacking in instructions as to the best way to use it. My experience is that it is VERY think and gets tacky very quickly. You need to work a small section at a time or it will get gummy and lumpy and turn into a HUGE mess. Will try it again and see if I'm more successful.
